Hotel pool towels at water parks?

So I have read that you are allowed to take hotel towels to the water parks, but I assume that applies when you are returning to your hotel room. We are visiting a water park the morning after check out. Can we take hotel pool towels to the water park and leave them there? Are they all interchangeable?

As far as I know if you take the pool towels you can just dump them into towel return at the waterpark.

I've never felt "comfortable" taking the hotel towels to the Water Parks-they are different towels.

I just go ahead and rent the WP towels,but that's just me.

If you take them after checkout, wouldn't they miss them in the room and potentially charge you for them?

I meant the towels from the swimming pool, not the room towels. If all of the pool towels at the hotels and the water parks are the same, it shouldn't matter if they are returned at a pool or at a water park, it seems to me. I just don't know if they are the same.

I've always used the resort pool towels for the when we go to the waterpark. Then just return them to the towel return at the water park. No need to carry wet towels back to the resort.

Resort pool towels are different to the room towels. I think the pool towels are the same as the waterpark towels.

I was just thinkg about Value Resorts where they don't have "Pool towels" just "room towels" that are also used for the pools.

Yep, the pool towers are basically the same as the water park towels. Plenty of times, I've just grabbed a towel from the pool and brought it over to the water parks and returned it there. Keep in mind for taller people that the towels are on the smaller side, so you might want to bring two.

Yes, I forgot value resorts don't get pool towels! In that case if I took a towel out of the room I would want to return it to the room. Although all the laundry carts probably go back to the same place I wouldn't want to leave a room short of towels in case it was noticed one was missing.
