Hotel or Cottage atmosphere at SS?

I was just wondering which you all thought the new Sarasota Springs resort would be more like-the hotel type, with indoor hallways and valet parking or the cottage type, with individual entrances and front door parking? It seems right now that the hotel type outnumbers the other 3 to 1, with BCV, BWV, and VWL that type and only OKW the other. Do you think DVC will try to even it out and build another one like OKW, or do you think they'll stay with the hotel type (maybe it's cheaper to build?) Personally I'd love to see another in the OKW style.

I saw an artist rendering of it, I think -- it must have been on the DVC site or maybe on the site of the Disney SCOOPS fellow -- and it looked to me like Old Key West. This means individual buildings with front doors. There may also be a "main building" however, where the doors to rooms are accessed off a central hallway. I believe this is how it is at Hilton Head, although we haven't gotten to stay there yet!

Check out the DVC site. I really think this is where I saw the drawing. It looked lovely and it will be exciting to try out a new property. They also mentioned plans for a nifty pool like Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club, and golf courses.

I'd like to see another one like OKW. I also hope that the 3 Bedroom units points are like they are at OKW rather than at BWV.

At OKW ( and VB and HH ) if you take the number of points for a 2 Bedroom, add the number for a studio, and then add on another 20-25% you get the number or points for a 3 Bedroom. I can do a 3BD that way. But BWV has about 100% premium during the week.

The rendering seems to me to suggest an in between the smaller building at OKW and the hotel type. I think it is pretty close to what EP was projected with larger individual buildings. It should be closer parking but not right at the front door.

The penalty for BW for the GV is 150% compared to a 2 BR plus a studio where it is 120% at OKW. I don't think you'll see the lower totals for GV again. Especially since the last 2 resorts haven't even had GV.
