Hi all great site.:thumbsup2

We are off the DLP in August, with my DD6

Undecided which hotel to go for either the HNY or NPB admirals floor

1. Can you open the windows in the HNY
2. Is the outside pool large & shallow in either hotels
3. Are the room sizes the same
4. Disney web site is listing free fastpasses with the current offer, any idea what type this would be?
5. Any perks on the fastpass you purchase if you are a shareholder.

Thanks:)

Hi all great site.:thumbsup2

Undecided which hotel to go for either the HNY or NPB admirals floor

1. Can you open the windows in the HNY - don't know, never tried but air con is very good :thumbsup2

2. Is the outside pool large & shallow in either hotels - HNY outdoor section is part of the indoor one and a reasonable size. There are no shallow ends at all at the HNY pool - I can just stand on my tip toes, I'm 5'5". There is a very small splash pool (ankle deep) inside and a jaccuzi. Lots of swimming aids are readily available beside the pool

3. Are the room sizes the same - Not stayed at NPB so can't compare, but HNY rooms are a good size

4. Disney web site is listing free fastpasses with the current offer, any idea what type this would be? I've read this too but think the wording is very misleading. When you read the small print it gives the same terms for the standard fastpass machines throughout the park. I don't think you are actually given anything extra. Will be very surprised if there is a difference.

5. Any perks on the fastpass you purchase if you are a shareholder. I'm a shareholder and don't know about any fastpass' you can purchase as shareholder, sorry. Do you mean annual passes? Thanks:)

Hope this helps a bit :goodvibes

I haven't stayed at either hotel (but will be in HNY In June for the first time :goodvibes). What I have read though is that the NPB is a huge hotel, the biggest they have there and it gets very, very busy in peak season. Breakfast etc will be very busy as it's just such a big hotel.

If you can afford it and the price isn't too much more how about the HNY? Again, it's not a small hotel, but most people's reviews I've read say NPB during peak can be chaotic....

I have also read about the fastpasses and I wondered if they are going to give you one fastpass per person per day (like we got when we stayed in the DLH on previous trips)? It might be a new thing for the 20th celebrations? :confused3

I think you probably do mean 'Annual Passes' where shareholders get discount (think it's 15% off)? These are quite different to fastpasses for rides (there will be a sticky at the top about them but basically it's an annual ticket to the park with discounts of food/shops etc - bit like your shareholder's perks but different discount levels, the biggest difference is that you can get up to 35% off hotel room only rates with an AP).

Hope that helps.

I agree with Ms Poppins. Reading the small print I think they are just advertising the fastpasses that everyone can usually pick up in the park with their tickets. I don't think this is actually anything extra.

I agree, I read the blurb on this "offer" and it seems to be exactly the same as the normal blurb in the brochure regarding fastpasses. I don't think you're getting any extra fastpass with this offer.

I haven't seen anything about fastpasses? Where was it advertised?

It was mentioned on the DLP website on the offer page. :goodvibes

Hi
I found a brilliant website that gives you loads of info on the hotels but cant post the link. Its Magical Kingdoms dot com

Here is some of the info on HNY
Capacity: 565 rooms including 27 suites.

Standard room size is 31m², with Art Deco theming.

NPB Capacity: 1093 rooms including 13 suites.

Standard rooms are 27m², decorated in a nautical theme in colours of blue and white, with traditional English colonial furniture.

The site has loads of other details including a diagram of the room layouts and hotel maps so will probably answer some more of your questions.
Turns out that HNY is half the size of NPB.
