This isn't exactly the right forum for this, but I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions for a nice, reasonably priced hotel near BG? We're flying into Tampa and plan to spend a day and maybe half of another at BG before driving to WDW. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!

I'd suggest the embassy suites, doubletree, wingate, or la quinta.

Thanks so much for your responses. I'll have to do some serious searching for good discounts...Entertainment,AAA, or AARP.

I've stayed around Busch several times, and the immediate area is kind of run down, so we usually stay in the Hampton Inn & Suites which is about 5 miles away from the park. The rate is never very bad, and its a new hotel so it is very clean, staff is nice.

Busch is a great park though, be sure to ride Scorpion for me!

We flew in and out of Tampa last week. We stayed at Nick Hotel in Orlando. We stayed the last night at the Embassey Suites at Busch Gardens. It was the second time that we have stayed there. It is nice and clean. There is complimentary breakfast and happy hour. Make sure that you allow plenty of time to get to the airport. It is about 20+ minutes with traffic. Busch Gardens rides were virtually walk on. We waited no more than 5 minutes for anything. It was great!

I've been several times and the only hotel I can reccomend in the immeddiate BG area is the Embassy Suites.
BTW, they will drive you to and from the park so you will save on parking too.

I'd have to agree with the others who suggested Embassy Suites near Busch Gardens. They have nice sized rooms and complimentary hot breakfast, which includes omelettes, bacon, sausage, etc. It was delicious! :thumbsup2 It is right across the street from Busch Gardens. :woohoo:

Avoid the Baymont which is across the street from BG. It was the worst hotel I've ever been to.

The Doubletree Guest Suites was great! Free Shuttle to and from BG, fabulous warm cookies @ check in, free wine and beer happy hour in the evening. I don't know the cost per night since we were lucky enough to get it for $48 on Priceline in August. We loved it. Only 1 mile from BG. You can see the coasters from the parking lot. :wave2:

Just do not stay at Days Inn. Bad, really bad, and they would so nothing about it. Went from a room with a flooded bathroom, to a room with no water at all.
