Hotel Kingdom Rates

I'm freaking out at the rates that were posted on Hotel Kingdom for RPR on March 30-April 2nd, 2005! We were there last year at the same time and booked through Hotel Kingdom and got a rate of around $180.00 per night, now it's listed at $265.00 per night!

I know there have been many recent threads about the rates, but I just can't believe the rates are this high! I'm just sick and tired of these high rates at the Universal Hotels and at Disney, if you are fortunate enough to get a special code, your lucky!

I need to go vent now~!

I'm in shock as well. We paid $169/night @RPR over Easter through Hotel Kingdom in 2004 and the rates for 2005 are not discounted at all...it's the same as what I've already booked through the Loew's site.
I'm hoping the APH discount will be available over Easter. If not....we'll split our stay between on-site and an off-site hotel. You can't beat the on-site benefits during a peak week such as Easter.

There are discount rates for Disney this Easter use the BDP code.
The Hotel Kingdom rates are laughable. They're even higher than the Loews website unless their rate includes tax, although I don't think they do. I think the Universal hotels are holding out to see how many rooms they can book at rack rate. Maybe if I only had to book one room I'd go for it (even then it's high) but I need three rooms no way I'll spend $900 a night, even for FOTL. It's cheaper to go to Europe and stay in one of the great hotels there.

Last year HotelKingdom ran a great sale at the end of November -we got club level at HRH for 216.00 - also got 2 GV rooms for my brother's family for about 130 something - this was for mid-January (MLK weekend). I know the rooms went really fast once they were listed - so keep your eyes open !!

This is good advice. We booked our two standard HRH rooms in late November for our March 04 trip -- they were at Hotel Kingdom, $169 (on sale 30% off).

On the other hand, the rooms DID NOT start out as high as they are right now. So I don't know how much a sale will help... like many are saying, we may just stay on the Disney grounds our whole trip.
