Hotel Kingdom and specific room type requests?

I've seen mostly good things about hotel kingdom on these boards, and would like to try them. I love a deal.

I have one concern. If I go through them, can I still make requests for secific room locations with the hotel, or is it a "run of the house" deal?

When I used them 2 years ago, I made my specific requests at time of booking. I had no problems using their service.
