Hotel help - near MCO?

Our WDW vacation begins June 20, but I found a really good deal on flights for Friday night, June 19. We'll arrive at MCO at 10:45 PM so I need to find a nice, inexpensive hotel with an airport shuttle to stay that night. Then, in the morning, I want to head on back to MCO and get the Magical Express Shuttle to our 'real' hotel.

Anyone know of a decent hotel near MCO that has an airport shuttle?

We are doing the sme thing next Friday. I got the Hyatt in the airport for $70 on Hotwire. We won't even need to "shuttle" anywhere. It looks nice and lots of food options in the airport as well!

I would second checking out the Hyatt on Hotwire or Priceline. I think it would be so cool to get off your plane and go right to your room without leaving the airport. :-) I've heard good things about the Hyatt too. Check out Betterbidding.com for a better idea of how to bid on that hotel.
We stayed at the Days Inn right outside the airport when we had an early morning flight home last year. It was a very nice Days Inn. If you can't get the Hyatt, I'd recommend that. You'll only be there for a night, so clean and spacious are all I'd be concerned about. We used Priceline (with help via Betterbidding.com) and got the room for half price. The Hyatt wasn't available at that time, so we didn't get that option. :sad2:

good luck and have fun!!

Careful with PL and bidding with lower * levels. A few of the hotels with lower * ratings don't offer a complimentary 24/7 shuttle bus.

How many people are in the OPs family? Two people I'd use PL 3 or 3.5* property. For a family a suite hotel or a free breaksfat may justify paying extra. Hotwire may work better.

Just checked your dates on hotwire and the Hyatt is there for $76. If you want, I'd be happy to PM you next Friday and let you know how it goes and what we think of it. Let me know. Good luck!

OMG!
Talk about "perfect timing" for this thread...........

I have been on fence about Hyatt as it is 183 for the night (aaa) I did just check Hotwire, but HOW do you know you'll get Hyatt in the airport versus getting something else??? They say 4 star includes Omni and something else........

OH, meant to add, it is a GREAT hotel, used it once before, pool on roof, beautiful room and CLEAN and lovely!!

Can you help with my other question posted above?????
I checked priceline and it is 194 a night.

What are your dates? If you click on to continue with the booking, at the bottom, it will show the tripadvisor ratings. The Hyatt has 4 1/2 stars with 140+ reviews. You can go to tripadvisor to confirm. Let me know if you want me to look for ya.

Okay I am confused :confused3 I went to hotwire, I picked hotels, clicked the 4-star but how do you know what hotel you will be at?

Will someone help me please?

Not to hijack the thread, but I have a question re: the Hyatt. We are thinking of doing the same thing, but there are 5 of us (kids are 12, 10, and 4). Will the Hyatt work for us, or does someone have another suggestion nearby?

That would be great! I'd really appreciate it!

Also, there are 4 of us - mom, dad, brother and sister. So the idea someone posted about finding a breakfast included is a good one, too...

In the description for the Hyatt it has 4 stars and does not have an airport shuttle. All the other 4 stars show an airport shuttle. The Hyatt does not need one as it is part of the terminal building.

When I used to "commute" from Washington and we took an after-work flight, Judy would take the carry-on luggage and check us in and order dinner for us from Room Service. I would pick up the checked luggage and stop by the desk to find the room number and usually within a few minutes of my getting to the room our dinner would show up.

Next morning we would have breakfast and I would pick up the rental car while Judy would gt us checked out and meet me downstairs at the hotel's valet parking are, we would be iun our park clothes, and off we would go.

According to betterbidding the Hyatt now shows an airport shuttle icon. Obviously the hotel doesn't have, nor does it need, a shuttle. Including the shuttle icon helps make the hotel opaque. At one time one of the other hotels (Crowne Plaza?) would occasionally omit the shuttle. At that time the other amenities matched the Hyatt. The hotel offers a shuttle but it was assumed and not always listed.
