Taking our teens (DS - 15 and DD - 12) back to WDW this spring break. Could very well be our last Disney trip as a family. Looking for a hotel with a "cool" pool and would really like a kitchen.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, not looking to spend more than $150 a night... No specific area as we are probably driving and will have a car.
Thanks for any input...

planning on going April 1 -8
we used to stay on property when kids were younger but looking for something a little cheaper this time.

You can rent a 2 or 3br with full kitchen and killer amenities at Bonnet Creek for around $100/day. There are several other high quality timeshare resorts that will also fit the bill for your price range. Look at the Hilton resorts and other Wyndham properties.

If you are going to Universal Studios you can get one of the onsite hotels for your price range and you can hop from one pool to another. So if you get the Royal Pacific in your price range they can still do all of the activities at the Hard Rock. We took my niece and nephew, 16 and 14, there in July and they had a ball. Plus you get front of the line access to most rides and early entry into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The only downside is no kitchen but if you have a car there are inexpensive fast food places and supermarkets within a 5 minute ride.

You can certainly get a 2BR at Vistana Resort for that price during the period. We are owners there, and our kids (DD 14 DS 12 - similar ages) love the resort.

The security is good, so I don't mind giving them the run of the place now that they are older and DD has a cell. There are 7 pools, and lots of activities. They always seem to meet a couple of other kids, and can pool hop to find the "cool" set (pretty sure that the "cool" set is at whatever pool we're NOT at).

Villa beats a hotel room hands-down. Only down side is that they share a bedroom (but separate beds). Hope your two get along well...

We've done the Sheraton Vistana resort with our teens, and they loved it. They'd always like to take a swim after a busy theme park day, and the pool was open till 1:00 a.m. Pools are nice (not like a water park, but nicely landscaped). There are also large spas/hot tubs that our teens like also by the pool areas. They all play tennis too, and the resort has fabulous clay tennis courts (probably not something most care about, but was wonderful with our tennis playing family). We also love the extra space. Teens could stay up and watch movies while some of us could crash out early. We had two two bedroom/two bath condos and a group of ten. Our teens were 17, 15, and 13 on our last visit.
