Hotel for one nignt

I need a one night stay before checking into to a Disney resort. What holiday is closest? Was thinking holiday inn or Sheraton safari.

Mapquest shows one Holiday Inn amongst the DTD Resorts, as well as 2 others close to the DTD Area. Try using Expidia to do a hotel search, they can sort specific hotels and show you where they are, as well as give you pricing iformation.

I had an extra day last November and found a night at Pop Century for $85 on Travelocity. I thought that was great since Disney will never let you book for that short of a stay directly on their website (at least I have never had any luck!).

So we got to see the resort, walked over to Art of Animation and saw that (we had never seen it before and were very impressed). Overall it worked out great. (and it was very close to Disney)

This is for Easter week so Pop was like 200. We are checking into AKL villas, but arriving a day early. Plus we are a family of 5, so pop is out.

Try Buena Vista Suites or Caribe Royale. Both have links to discounted rates on the Mousesavers website. Caribe Royale also runs one day specials with discounts listed every Wed.

You could check out the Seralago on 192. It has family suites that would hold a family of 5 and it is quite affordable. So affordable that I was expecting it to be a bit of a dive but I was pleasantly surprised! We had an unexpected two days before our Disney stay a couple of years ago and really enjoyed our stay here. If it makes you more comfortable, Disney has named it a WDW Good Neighbour Hotel.
