Decided to drop the car off on Friday and stay at a hotel by the airport. Would like a shuttle service. Am currently looking at Homewood Suites. Anyone have any other suggestions with a good shuttle service. Looking for a nice place for the last night. I know there is a hotel right at the airport but for 2 rooms - that is to expensive. I see the Homewood has 2 bedrooms. Thanks

You can get the Hyatt inside MCO through Hotwire. There are only 2 hotels in the MCO area that are 4*. One is Hyatt. The other is Renaissance by Marriott.
Search for 2 adults/2 kids per room. The Hyatt is the one that has a TripAdvisor review of 4.5/5 circles and 95% recommendation rate. These last 2 clues are important. If it's 4/5 circles & 90% rec rate, it's the Renaissance.
Sometimes the Hyatt doesn't show up until a few days prior so you could always book something suitable that is cancelable and keep trying. I've gotten it many, many times for $55-75/nt + tax. That has been hard to find lately though.

Another option is booking through lastminutetravel.com. Similar to HW but they show photos of each hotel. If you've stayed at the Hyatt, you will instantly recognize room photos & pool photos. If you'd like help with this, let me know.

Good luck!

The Hyatt is soooo uber convenient for late arrivals & early departures. Literally a 50' walk to security lines. The TV in the room has a channel showing the departure status like what you would see on the displays in the airport. You can get runway view or atrium view. Once you try it, you won't want any place else. :cloud9:

Country Inn and Suites is 10 minutes from the airport- has free shuttle service- free breakfast.

Sorry, no this is for February. I have never used Hotwire before - always afraid of really messing up. If I were to try this - can you bid for 2 rooms at the same time?? I would love to stay here. Should I wait and look into this closer to my date ?? Thanks for all the help

Sure can. They won't guarantee they'll be connecting though.
I bought 6 rooms for 19 of us pre cruise.

It's hard to mess up on HW if you stick to 4* hotels. Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt etc. It won't be a Best Western for sure.

My mom even can do it now for FLL. Hotels are very expensive there.

We stayed at the Renaissance once over Christmas for 3 nights (there was a snowstorm in the NE and our flight home got cancelled - but we were so LUCKY that I called Marriott's platinum line immediately, and got two connecting rooms there). It was very close to the airport (they have a shuttle I think) and a very pleasant hotel - comfortable rooms, good service, good room service food, and I think that it was pretty inexpensive as well. This stay was totally unplanned, and I was kind of stressed out to get my DH a flight home soon, and then work on getting myself and the kids home, but the staff was excellent and really took care of us. As a bonus: the kids and I just drove back over to Disney a couple of times and added to our park tickets - fun! Definitely I would stay at that hotel again, if I needed to be close to the airport.
