I'm feeling so indecisive. I have to book our hotel for my DD's sixth birthday trip in August. We will be there for over a week, so I want to get someplace comfortable. I'm trying to decide between three options.

Candy Cane Inn
HoJo's
Annabella

We've stayed at the last two before, but never CCI. Walking distance is very, very important to us, but next would be a nice pool for the kids to swim in every day.

The plus for HoJo is the water play area, but is this area appropriate for a three year old? We've never used it as we stayed there a long time ago. It's also a longer, busier walk than the other two. We get the AP discount here. $159/night

The plus for the Annabella is we really liked the pool area there, and the walk to and from the parks is nice, peaceful and quiet compared to busy Harbor Blvd. It's also the cheapest because I can book through Orbitz and use Orbucks and a discount code I have, so it's ends up being $150 a night for a Concierge Premium room, so big room and continental breakfast for two.

We have been interested in staying at CCI for a while. Free breakfast, very close, and looks clean and nice. I'm not sure about the pool area with kids- is it large enough? How are the room sizes? we get the AP discount, but it's still pricey. $186/night with taxes.

How to decide???

I would choose Hojo. The water play area is definitely appropriate for a 3 year old.

Thank you!! That's good to know about the water play. I'm still wondering about the walk with a five year old, especially as we plan to go back to the hotel in the afternoons, so that's twice back and forth.

Hojo is my go to hotel so I'm a bit biased. But yes I think the kiddie pool is appropriate for a 3 year old. My son and nephew were both 2 years old the first time they used it. They love it more and more each year. Thats one of the reasons we stay there.

As for the walk we still use a stroller for my son but he's just now 4. I imagine by 5 I'll be making him walk. DD is 8 and we've probably been staying at Hojo since she was 4 or 5 and she has always walked it and we still make it to the parks in under 10 minutes. If its really an issue you could always use the ART shuttle. I think they sell the passes at the front desk. Try the walk the first day you're there, if you think its too long than get the ART shuttle pass.

The walk from Hojo is nothing. We stayed at the Fairfield recently, which is only slightly closer to the parks and we walked over to Hojo then took the walk to DL. My 4 year old did it with no problems, even when he was tired.

I'd go with Hojo. The water park area is perfect for a toddler as well as the 6 year old. They have a little shallow pool to play in as well as all the spraying stuff. It's our usual choice in the summer months.

So far we usually get the ART when we stay there. Walking to the park is fine, but our youngest is so worn out when we leave we'd end up having to carry her.

id check best western park place inn. Right across the street, 125 a night if you can get that rate (signing up for the best western rewards (free) Free good breakfast and they have a pool. Thought id just toss the idea out to you it is the closest hotel even closer then the 3 Disney hotels.
