Hotel: Book Now - Or Wait for ANY AP Discounts

Hi All,

Dilema in my head regarding our plans for a visit in December.

Do I book Seq. Lodge:

a) now - with by Shareholders or AP Dream Discount (10%) - to which I know that rooms are available and I have an available price....

or

b) do I await for DLRP to release details of any 'better' AP Dream Hotel Discounts for December - which may not even be valid for the dates we are planning to visit?.

What would you do!.

It is a difficult decision isn't it.

The next Envie magazine, with possible AP offers, will come out in October I guess - can you wait until then to book your hotel?

To be honest, I don't rely on my Dream AP discount to get me very good hotel room prices, (although I struck lucky in November last year, and only phoned 4 weeks before travel).

But if you're heartset on a particular hotel, it is a dilemma right enough.

To explain further my dilema, I calculate that the Room-Only pricing for Seq. Lodge Montana room for the period we are looking at is £490.

This is based on me having been quoted a shareholder price of £441. Hence, I calculated that taken into account the shareholders discount of 10%, the starting price was (as above) £490.

Sooo.....if there was a potential 25% as an AP discount, the pricing (again - based on my calculated starting price of £490) would be £368.

The difference between the potential AP and Shareholders pricing is £73 - which is a large saving over the shareholders discount...

Do you not have to book within 90 days of your date now if using your AP?

I believe that is the case, and hence part of the my overall dilema!.

Is this a magazine you get monthly when you become an AP member, im going to become an AP holder when we visit in September and am really interested in the savings for future trips

Are then announced monthly then? (sorry to go off subject here)

If you can book now (being more than 90 days before) then personally I would do so. We've got DLH booked for October with shareholder discounts, and as soon as Envie came out I emailed to ask if if could get a better discount but there weren't any for that hotel in that period, which seems to be a recurring theme. Seems like only certain hotels get the discount at certain times, but they don't tell you what they are!

Thank you, just looking to book a xmas or early next year trip in an actual disney hotel this time and thought this was interesting and hopefully a good way to find out the discount days
