Hotel b/w Airport and WDW/drive from airport to WDWD

Husband will be in class 6/25-6/30 at a center near the airport. How far is that from Disney. He stayed at the Hyatt at the airport last trip. Is that far from Disney? He said he would not mind if I find a hotel closer to Disney but thought driving from there every morning would be inconvenient. What is available and what would you call that area? I am unfamiliar with Orlando, so I don't want to make a bad choice.

first of all are you getting 2 rental cars or only one.

if one I would definitely get much closer to WDW if not in WDW.

if two - there are lots of choices. ID is a nice area. there are several hotels in the airport area - but none are much closer to WDW.

it is around 18 to 20 miles away. so it could be an hour - most of the time it is less.
