Hot Tub and work out area at new Poly DVC??

My best WDW dream changes involve putting more money in their pockets!

I am not Anti SSR, but, I think it is missing something. Regardless, I see a huge opportunity in taking the area off the pool (near where the Preview Center / Spa area is. That big Patch of grass with the fountain - an area which invites you back to see what is there and you see there is absolutely nothing!

Take that, and, make it uptown Saratoga. Barber Shop, Pizza / Sub Shop, Ice Cream, City Hall, Antique / Equestrian Shop, Bar, etc., etc. Put a gazebo with a place for a barbershop Quartet for nightly events! Very cozy and very family oriented.

Disney lost their way a long time ago. If Walt could come back for a week he would walk through that area and say: "What in the living heck is this huge expanse of nothingness which contributes nada to the resort theme or the guests?".

Isn't that kind of what is happening with the footbridges and stuff with Disney Springs? Getting access to DTD much easier.

The entire Magic Bands is another hot-button of mine. A huge, huge, huge capital expense which benefits the bottom line and not the guests. Between that and new DVC development there is very little money left over for any park improvements.

I think the new Fantasy Land is quaint and very nice. Many may disagree, but, I feel that after the dust settled there are too few rides and more shops and restaurants. Then, they scratch their collective noggins in Burbank and wonder why it has not been well received?

Have not been to Anaheim since all of the changes to DCA, but, I hear it is fantastic, well planned and really has transformed the park.

Though I am not a fan of the Avatar concept, I do here they are making some positive changes at AK.

But, it is time they put some focus on Orlando and do something at Epcot and DHS.

DCA encourages me - they have shown me they still have the ability.

Here's hoping for Star Wars land! I'm ok with Epcot (although the empty WOL pavilion and old Odyssey restaurant annoy me.

DHS needs love. Much of it feels long in tooth and stagnant. It's easy to get through... Usually a half day. But really it just seems to lack cohesiveness in theme and design.

True, but Saratoga is very spread out. It's not that convenient to get from one section to another.

If I had to sum up one word for the studios I would call it "pathetic". $100 dollars per person per day to see super long in the tooth attractions that are not classics.(Minus TOT and R&R of course)

This park has so much potential its not funny. It could be better then Magic Kingdom if they wanted it to be. The sad thing is the Disney Exec's don't care, there is no pride in their company for them. All they care about is pleasing stock holders and making $$$$$ for themselves.

Those are horrible ideas, just awful. Why would anybody want any of that at Saratoga? No, no, nooooo.Plus you're totally wrong about that area, sometimes that have a campfire thing going on there at night and they charge people money to make smores. Keep up the good work Disney, keep up the good work!!!!!!

Smores were free my last stay there (2012 maybe Aug), and free last stay at BC ( maybe July or Sept).

Not arguing good idea/bad idea.. just noting.. campfires/smores are to bring a comminuty together and have an activity not for making $$.

That is where the campfire is every night and the s'mores are free and have been free for years (I'm not aware they ever charged for them). And they use that area to play games with the kids during the day too.

It would be a waste of money to put a hot tub or gym at Poly.

Poly will sell itself without any of that fluff...and for a LOT more than $130 per point...:rotfl2:
