I will be in WDW Oct. 8-14 on my honeymoon. I will not be staying at FW but my future DH :love2: and I want to do the horseback riding(HBR) and the outdoor movie. I have a few Qs:

1. How much does HBR cost per person? :)
2. Do I need to reserve a time to do the HBR? :confused3
3. Has anyone done it yet and if so, is it worth the $? :scratchin
4. What time does the movie start during october? popcorn::
5. Is there anything special you have done to make the trip more romantic?

I did the trail ride a few years ago and if you're any type of experienced rider, you might find it downright boring. The horses are VERY tame and it's 45 minutes of riding at a walk on a trail thru the woods.

Here's the info from Deb Wills site:
Guided horseback rides are offered 6 times daily (8:30, 10, 11:30 a.m., 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m.) at the Tri-Circle D Livery at Fort Wilderness. The rides, which cost $42 per person, last approximately 45 minutes. Riders must be at least 9 years old and 48 inches tall and can weigh no more than 250 pounds. The horses are tame and walk pretty much single file during the ride. If you're an experienced rider, this ride may be too dull for you. If you've not had an opportunity to ride a horse before or have done so rarely, this ride may be just what you're looking for. To make reservations, call (407) 824-2832 -- reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. It is strongly suggested that you wear long pants and that you do not wear open-toed or heeled shoes. To get to the Tri-Circle D Livery, you can drive to and park in the Fort Wilderness Visitor parking lot and walk; board the bus at the TTC and take it to the Outpost Depot bus stop; take the Fort Wilderness boat from the marina at the Magic Kingdom to the Fort Wilderness marina and then walk to the Settlement Depot bus stop where you'd then board the bus to the Outpost Depot.

HTH!!! :teeth:

I thought it was OK, but the thing that bothered me was the fact you only see trees. I thought I was going to explore Fort Wilderness and see some of it.

The campfire program is fun but I wouldn't call it romantic. There are tons of kids running around. The campfire/movie area has a lot of gravel and it makes a lot of noise during the movie with the kids running through it. That's just my opinion.

Ft. Wilderness can be romantic. You can pay for a carriage ride through the campground at night. I haven't done it but it looks like it would be romantic. Plan in advance and bring a bottle of champagne!
