Horror Makeup Show script change? **SPOILERS**

Horror Makeup Show has long been one of my favorite attractions and over the years I've enjoyed visiting it to see how they update the film segments and such. It may have been a little while since I've last been to the attraction, but on Sunday I visited and was shocked to find a... well... kinder, gentler ending to the show.

Instead of having the audience volunteer pose for a picture next to Eddie after the secret project demonstration, they had the volunteer pose for the picture on the other side of the stage without Eddie even in the shot, and simply gave her the picture and returned her to her seat.

Was this a script flub? I hadn't yet seen these particular actors work this attraction before so I don't know if either was new to the role. ("Alex" was club host on one my previous Wonder cruises, "Mark" was a Comedy Warehouse veteran and I just realized I didn't need to put his character name in quotes in this case.)

Or is this a formal script change because of guest feedback (reminding me of my sadness when they changed Poseidon's Fury from Keeper to Lord Darkennon)?

Wow, that's strange. I'll have to head over there when I get the chance and see it for myself. I hope it's not changed... that was such a funny ending.

This has been the new show since last January. There was a rumor going around that someone got hurt or something along those lines when Eddie goes crazy. So now this is the norm. They take the photo and then they have the person sit down and finish the act. They also took out some of the one liners from the show along with the latex / playtex bra part too. It's a shame but the show is still good.

The same ending for our show in December. Didn't realize that was the new norm. We thought It was a fluke. Aw, sad. We loved the original ending.

The playtex/latex bit was done by one actor and he isn't currently doing the show.

i saw it october 2012 and eddie was in that show.

Eddie is still in the show, just no photo with the volunteer.

Yeah as the PP said, Eddie is still over there but they take a picture elsewhere on the stage so Eddie isn't anywhere near the volunteer.

I'm not following. How do they end the show? What's the point of the picture if Eddie isn't involved?

Two weeks ago, the new ending was in effect. Eddie still goes crazy and tears Mark up, but the volunteer is not on the stage during this sequence.
They did do the Playtex/latex joke when we were there. The Alex was the male that I have seen there for years, but Mark was a heavier set gentleman that I had not seen before. Still an awesome show!

Did they actually show the playtex/latex physically? I'd always been under the impression that only one guy actually physically showed the playtex but maybe they've changed things while he's been gone.

The Alex I think you are referring to is the same gentleman that does the narrating of the Grinch Who Stole Xmas. He does a lot if things for Universal. He is excellent at what he does.

I love this show and the ending with Eddie is awesome. Bummer they are not doing it anymore.

I especially like the actor who played mark. He was so funny. I was lucky to see him do the show twice when we were there.

Just saw this for the first time last month. We had a guy and a gal as the hosts. We saw the show twice, back to back...dh was riding Mummy while we saw it the first time...he joined us and we took him to see it.

The second time was as good as the first however the two hosts switched roles...
