oh wow that is horrible!! i work at an amusement park, a very small one but we still have very dangerous rides and i have ppl complain all the time about us having to check the bars after every ride and check them before the ride but ppl are at an amusement park and dont think that anything bad could happen but it does. I have a ride that goes in the air and the only thing holding you up is gravity and a small chain and i kick kids off of it all the time b/c they do not pay attention to the oral and written directions of the ride but it scares me to think what would happen if they were fooling around and the ride would break.

ne ways, i hope the girl has gotten medical attention to hopefully reattach her feet, i cant even imagine!

I went to the Six Flags website and this ride is considered a family ride.

From the description, it sounds like it is a tower ride where you have a pnuematic rise up a tower and shot down.

I've ridden on similiar rides, Dominator (Dorney Park), Dr. Doom (IOA), Cedar Points version and a few others.

All of these rides have dangling feet. How would her feet get amputated with a dangling feet ride? Is there a metal footrest on this ride? Did the ride go to far /too fast and her feet slammed into the concrete/landing housing?

OMG! We have that same ride at our Six Flags and my son and I have ridden it twice. I wonder what happened. There should be nothing near your feet on that ride.

Probably the only good news is it happened in Louisville. Jewish Hospital there is THE leader in reattachment surgery. In the late 50's a small boy was hit by a train and lost a leg and arm, and Jewish vowed they'd do whatever they could in the future about this. They have been very successful. When Neil Armstrong cut off his finger, they sent him there, but too much time had passed. A man from Cincy cut off both arms in a sheet metal accident a few years ago and they were 100% successful. They have even pioneered hand transplants. And yew, they always encourage all prayers for their patients and surgeons.

The news here (louisville) said possibly a cable snapped. Not sure if its true yet. Ky kingdom said it was a ride malfunction. maybe the cable itself cut her legs?
