Hoping to stay at POR in December

What is the update on renovations? Should we plan on spending our vacation in another location? Personally I would love to spend our time at GF or Poly or AKL for the holidays but I don't think my in-laws want to spend the extra cash....they don't understand why we want to stay more than 3 or 4 days at an amuzement park, can you believe that!!!
