Hopefully not to obvious app./entree question

We have free dining for my birthday trip at the end of Aug. Hopefully, this is not too obvious of a question, but I'm learning all I can about DDP and want to make SURE!!!!! Questions about ordering with 1 TS credit at dinner. Ok, so if I'm at a TS location can I order the $8 appetizer vs. the $5 appetizer and let's say the $28 steak vs. the $17 chicken and the $12 dessert vs. the $7 dessert.....for example??? Because, I'm thinking, if I go to the WP Cafe, I want to get the seafood and not just the pasta or chicken!

To sum up, can one order the most expensive offering for each of the three catagories on one TS credit with the DDP?

Yes you can order any standard dish from the menu. The only restrictions are usually on things like adding an extra lobster tail to your dish etc. i.e things that are extras to the standard dishes.

Desserts and appetizers that are priced and portioned for sharing, the sampler platters, are either excluded or are only included if multiple guests at the table order it.

You'll find very few limitations, exclusions, etc. You just had the bad luck to pick one of them for your example. You won't hit that problem very often.

I am pretty sure WP did away with the surcharge. The only thing that is off limits is sushi for an appetizer.

I was told by 2 dining CM's that WP did away with a surcharge. They said you can order any entree on the menu.

The surcharge isn't on the current brochure so it might be gone. I don't think I'd rely on a disney CM on the phone for information on a non-Disney restaurant.

I called WGP myself. There is no longer a surcharge on the entrees.

Sorry for posting old information. With all the threads on the meal plan it's easy to forget almost all the plan changes have been improvments. Le Cellier and Coral Reef going from 2 to 1 credits. All the WS restaurants being added. Increased number of snacks. Surcharges gone from WGP.

I know what you mean. Especially since the restaurants keep changing the rules day-to-day.

Thank you for all the helpful info! I didn't even know there had once been a surcharge. So much to know about the DDP, so many places, so little time!
