I just got an e-mail saying I am one of the ticket winners.

Here is the e-mail:

For your registration, you will receive a Universal Orlando® 2-PARK Unlimited Admission Ticket valid for 7 consecutive days at both Universal Orlando theme parks! Please see the Official Rules for further prize details and eligibility requirements. You will receive your Universal Orlando Park ticket confirmation code in the mail within the next 4-6 weeks. The ticket confirmation code mailer will be sent to the address you provided in your registration. You will need to present your ticket confirmation code mailer and a valid form of identification* at the ticket windows of either Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure theme parks. Your Universal Orlando® 2-park Unlimited Admission Ticket is valid March 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009.





What do you think that the chances are that I will get my confirmation code in the mail in the next couple of weeks instead of the 4-6 weeks as stated?
I am leaving for my trip on Feb. 28th, I hope it gets here before then, so I can use it. The e-mail does say that the ticket is good starting on March 1st so maybe it will get here in time.

I hope everyone else who registered gets the e-mail too!!

I only signed myself up and not DH becuase I thought it was on per household and since we both have the same address on our drivers liscense I didnt see anyway around the limit.

I already bought our tickets from UCT so we have a spare one now I might save a UCT ticket for next year or see if my MIL wants to go in exchange for a night of babysitting while DH and I hit Citywalk

I think thats the catch.If you have AP's the ticket comes in your name and its not worth much since its gotta be used before 2010..Thats if I read the official rules properly..If you do have AP it will depend on the expiration date!!

Does it say anything in the rules about showing ID when you actually enter the park? If not, I don't see why it should be a problem showing your ID at the ticket window then giving the ticket to a friend/child, etc. who is w/ you. Also, if this is the case, I think if you are an AP holder that you could get the ticket and take someone with you.

I dont see how this would be allowed but it is all in the fine print.

Oh, who am I kidding-I'd feel too guilty if I didn't take everyone! We don't get to go to Universal very often. We weren't even going to go this year, but hey, can't waste the free ticket, now can we??

My wife and I each won too!!! We didnt think and used the same address. I figure if we redeem them at separate windows they might accept them... we shall see.

We have never been. Planned a trip to WDW for Sep and we are now spending two days there....

This comes a day after we added a DCL 4 night before the WDW stay... going to be tired after a long vacation....

I won too! I was surprised because I didn't register until around 3 AM Monday morning, US EST, for the "third" commercial. Now I wish I'd registered my husband as well using a different address.

We are premier AP holders but hadn't yet decided if we are going to renew right away during our April trip (when our current APs expire), or wait until later in the year for our December trip. This would give us some Universal days in April if we decide to wait.

Alternately, I hope we could redeem the free ticket and let a guest use it to join us for a few days at the parks.
