What if all that's available is balcony seating for this show/dinner? Is it still worth it?

My daughter, who will be 5 when we go, is more interested in the luau at the Polynesian. My husband and I favor this one. Which do you think is best for a 5 yr old girl?

The balcony is not that bad of a place to sit. The actors do still go up there and interact with the guests. I think most of the seating is against the rail so you can look down and see everything.

My 3 yr old loved the Hoop De Doo, we didn't think he would. The kids get to participate a little.

I am going to the Hop tee Doo for the second time. The first time my children were 7 and 4. My DS(7) was in the show. One of the girls picked him. He had a ball but when it came time to go out on stage he would not go so the staff had to work without him. Now we are going back for my sons 21st Birthday!!:bounce: :earsboy:

Have not done the luau since they revamped it, but based on my prior experiece go for Hoop Dee Doo. The luau was not near as much fun.

Our DD's(9 and 2 when we went)LOVED HDDR!! I don't think there is a bad seat--the performers go up in the balcony for part of the show. It was a blast:p

Well, I did it. I reserved a spot. They couldn't tell me whether we have main floor or balcony seating. I put in a request for main floor.

Our trip is for 4/2004, so I'm hoping we'll get main floor with good visibility. The WDW reservation worker thought we were going to fare OK.

Now, with you folks sharing balcony successes as well, I can just rest easy.
