Please tell me everything I need to know about it and your personal experience at the show...good or bad. We are thinking of going in May. Thanks!

We had a great time. We loved the entertainment and are definitely going to go back. The food was pretty good to. and we love the bottomless sangria and beer!!

One tip, I would definitely try to get seats on the floor....I think that's category 1 or 2. There is more audience interaction there and you can see much better.
This is also a great show to go to if you are celebrating something because they will make a really big deal out of it. Have fun!

The Hoop-Dee-Doo experience was interesting but I don't think I'd go there again. The food was average--I expected better. The strawberry short cake was excellent though. It's probably a good place to go if you like beer since they'll keep bringing you pitchers of it. The sangria wasn't good. The show was okay at first, but reminded me too much of Hee-Haw.

I'll some it up. It's good food & good fun. I would say a must do at least once. We have done ot many times and have a ball when we r there.

We did the HDDR thursday night. I'm very glad we did it but it's not something we'll do again.

The show was fun but very corny (think Hee Haw). The song about the States is great (you'll have to go to know what I'm talking about).

We sat in category two on the right side of the stage (DDP seating) and had some blockage from poles-we had to rearrange the kids' seating so they could see and I had to lean around the pole for a lot of the show.

The food was decent and the ribs were excellent. The free flowing beer is also fun ;)

All in all, I think everyone should try this show at least once.

Oh, some details. You should arrive about 10 or 15 minutes before the show starts and get checked in. They will take a group photo and try to sell it to you for over $30 during dinner (uh, no thanks). You'll get a ticket with your table number on it and they will tell you which side of the porch to line up on. At the time of the show, everyone walks in together and a CM will direct you to your table. You can get started on family style tossed salad and cornbread right away as it's already on your table when you arrive.

I love the HDDR!

The food is BBQ Ribs & Fried Chicken. So IMO the food is awesome as I love Fried Chicken & Ribs. The entertainment is reminiscient (sp) of an old west stage coach show. I don't really think it is akin to Hee Haw other than the performers costumes.

I definately recommend seeing it. I know I try to see it every trip.

It's a blast! The food is just fine and the show is very fun. I would consider it a must to try if you have never been....especially if you have children.

Accurate description of our experience. Sorry.

Have done it twice and loved it. Might be a little biased because on first visit DD-5 was asked to be in the show. It was very cute and a memory for us. Food is fine. I would definitely go for category 1 or 2 to be on floor. Seemed more like part of the show from there.

Thank you for your replies. I am still on the fence on this one. We will have three teenagers in our group and I think it may take them away from the parks longer than they would like.
