Hoop-Dee-Doo with teen boys

We have planned a night at the Hoop-Dee-Doo during our trip It will be me, my husband, my son(17), and his friend(17). Will this be of any interest to them or will it seem hokey? We are really trying to gear this trip towards our son and his friend this year. We have gone many times but since our daughter chose not to go with us we allowed our son to invite his friend. The friend has not been since he was 3, so essentially this will be his first REAL trip.

I think they would enjoy it. The food is GREAT and I think they'd enjoy the entertainment. Your other option is, if they are not interested in doing the Show, maybe you can get passes to Disney Quest for them. I'd think a 17 year old would have a blast at Disney Quest.

We've done the HDDR twice and it is fun. Yeah, it is a bit hokey, but the food is to DIE for!!!

I remember being a hungry 17 year old. The boys will overlook anything that may be hokey, and EAT, EAT, EAT!!!

As the mother of two boys (now ages 21 and 23) I would totally disagree with OP I think they will think its corny. I would save the money and have a nice meal elsewhere.

Sitting here in living room w/16 year old son.

We did the Hoop Dee Do Review when he was 10 years old.
(Food and entertainment were excellent & our entire family had a blast!)

I just asked him if he would like to do the HDD review again.
His response was something like "if I wanted to spend some time doing something totally lame......."

Really, I agree w/Kem330. It was a fun experience, but I wouldn't take my sons (now both teens) at this age.

My son's choice: Planet Hollywood.
