What is better?

We just booked our first trip, we have 4 children (8,6,5, & 5). This is very overwhelming  . We can book our reservations 6/14.

we are thinking:
Chef Mickey or Hoop-dee
LeCellar and then the Candlelight processional
crystal palace
mama melrose & show
captain Jack's
Any other suggestions or musts?? We do not want every night buffets.

Thanks

HDDR is great! But, I would think your kids would really love Chef Mickey's!

Chef Mickey or HDD?!?!?!  These are some of my VERY SUPER FAVs!!! (I could not make this decision; I would have to work them both in :rotfl2:)Both would be great choices, but my concern is with HDD. I don't know how picky the 5 year olds are, or if they will get some of the humor in HDD. I think they will have a fun time at both, but I would go with Chef Mickey!

Definiely Chef Mickey's. Chef Mickey's is so much fun and is a true character experience for everyone. HDDR is a show, so the character interaction isn't guaranteed for everyone. Be sure to have your camera ready at CM's and make sure your little ones have their autograph books. CM's is an option for bfast, so you don't have to have a buffet dinner that night. Another nice thing about doing it for breakfast: kids haven't had a much chance to get on each others or your nerves :rolleyes1 yet that day so everyone is already in a magical state of mind. We did bfast last time and are trying dinner on our next trip. Last year there were 5 characters at Chef Mickey's: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck (my nephew danced with Donald).

Not even a question for me. Go with Chef Mickey's. Better food, character greetings and not so far away.

HDDR is a great show, but I think with the ages of your children they would enjoy the characters at Chef Mickey's more. The price will be less also at Chef Mickey's, if that is part of your decision. Neither will disappoint though.

Try the Sci-Fi Dine in Theater. The kids will get a kick out the drive-in theater atmosphere. You will too.

I haven't tried HDDR. So, I can't recommend one over the other. I can tell you that we just did Chef Mickey's for DD's 6th birthday in May. We all had a blast!! It was probably one of my most treasured memories from the entire trip... HONEST!! The character interaction was so much more than what I had anticipated. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, & Donald were all there. Have fun!

We love CM and HDDR! As others have said, I think with the age of your kids, CM would be a great choice. Nothing like starting your vacation with a trip to Chef Mickey's. It is fun and exciting.

Either way, you can't go wrong!:thumbsup2
