Hoop Dee doo opinions please

I am not sure whether to use 2 dining credits on the hoop Dee Doo review dinner show at WDW.
As fellow Australians, what did you think??/

Or is the show more American??? leaving us Aussies unsure as to what all the fuss is about?

What did you think?

There will be myself, hubby, DD13, DD11, DD9 and DS6

Yikes, I really hope that some people respond with positive reviews!!!

We are booked to do the HDDR in September, and friends who are arriving 5 days after us have booked it on my recommendation! I read squillions of reviews saying that it is hilarious and a great night out - but I never thought about it not translating well!

I have every confidence that it will be a wonderful evening, and if not, we'll clap along, eat and drink up and be happy that we are in WDW and there is no washing up!

It translates just fine I've been on two of my three trips to the World and I've pencilled it in for when I take the fam in a few years.

It's such a fun night, I loved the food being served in buckets and the good time atmosphere. The corny jokes are suitable for all ages and the sangria and beer is free-flowing so what's not to love?

We have travelled to WDW a number of times. We only went to HDDR on our last trip and it was hilarious (a little corny) but still very funny. Our kids (14, 10 and 9 at the time) enjoyed it very much.

At one point during the show the cast move into the various sections of the audience and enquire where guests are from. One of the female cast members came to our area and asked the few surrounding tables where eveyone was from. Other tables were from US states and us from Oz. When the spotlight turned to this cast member she introduced our family from Australia and the audience started yarhooing etc. Then the other cast started singing a song about Kangaroos from downunder and perform a special dance - presumably they pull that one out for any Australian families they select.

We are returning in December and we have booked to return to HDDR!
