Hoop Dee Doo now 1 year out, not 2?

I see that with all the changes in ADR timeframes, it looks as HDD ADRs can now be made only 1 year in advance as opposed to 2. We have gone several times, and I usually get a good table because I have booked somewhere more than a year out (although never the full 2 years!) I am going to book for next December, and that would put us 8 months out--SO, if there really is a 1 year limit now, that would actually work in our favor

If anyone has booked under this new 1-year rule, what type of seats are you getting at 7 to 8 months out??

We just booked for 8 weeks out, and we got Category 1, or Section 1...something like that. Both CMs I've spoken to when discussing my ADRs say those are really good seats. I don't know...I've sat up in the rafters in the past, so I'm pretty happy anywhere.

I just booked HDD at 180 days out for October and didn't realize that I could book one year. I got category one for my son's 5th birthday. We have always sat in the rafters as well, so this will be exciting. I think this is the farthest out I have ever made a reservation there.
I can't wait!!!!

We're going in April '08 with my parents and would love to do this again. We used to do it every trip, but haven't on the last three, or since the dining plan started. So, how does making reservations with the dining plan work? Do we still have to pay for it up front? Will they then issue a credit on the card? Also, now with the tiers, what kind of category do we get with the dining plan?

I could be wrong but I thought they had changed it to booking at the 180 day mark. I'd be interested to hear as we plan to attend during our Christmas trip.

I am going to call tomorrow morning and try to make my Dec. ADR, so I will know for sure what the booking window is! TourGuide Mike's dining calculator shows it at 180 days, but this site's calculator shows it at 1 year out. HDD has been 2 years out for years and years, so I am betting it is 1 year out, and DISboards has it correct.

it's 6 months. i think it was phased down to 6 months in 2006. it used to be 2 years, then was brought down to 1 year, and then was phased in a pretty neat way down to 6 months.

It's 180 days. I tried to make mine for Oct. before the 180 day mark and was told I would have to call back, even for HDDR.

Boy, I paniced there for a minute. I was under the impression it was 180 days out for HDDR then I saw the calculator on the DIS listed it as 365! I thought I missed a thread where they moved it back to 365 from 180!!!! Thats not like the DIS to miss something like this..smjj
