Is this still going on, if so how do we get from the magic kingdom to this place? I am so lost ! we have the dining plan, will they let us use this there?

Hi there,

Yes they still have it! Its sooo much fun. Its available through the Disney Dining Plan at the cost of two table service credits.

The funnest way to get there is to go to Magic Kingdom and take one of the smaller boats near the dock of the ferry, which will take you to Fort Wilderness. I've heard you can take the bus there too, but I'm not sure on the specifics for that. We just went last May and we took the boats.

I am not sure of the hours, but if we have dinner and the park closes, how do we get back to the pop century hotel?
this sounds so fun, but we have never been to WDW and there for not sure about getting there. so we take a boat from the front of the magic kingdom?

Yes the boat departs from Magic Kingdom and also stops at the Wilderness lodge along the way. We went to the 7:15 show last year and finished in time to take the boat back to Magic Kingdom, and then took the bus to our resort (Pop Century).

oh and as to if the park has closed, I recall reading that if you go to the 9:30 show that there are buses waiting to take you back to your resort, but I am not 100% sure.

I've not been yet but we are going in June and staying at Pop and going to Hoop Dee Doo and from reading the Pop thread this was talked about that there would be buses to the resorts. But I don't remember if it was mentioned if it was only the last show or both.
