The seats are just fine if you ask me. We sat in category 3 and enjoyed it. Here's a view from category 3:

There is only 1 row of tables along the railing. You eat facing away from the stage, then swing your chair around to view the show. We were at the table all the way on the side, close to the stage. The performers come up there too, just not as much as they walk around downstairs.
I didn't have any problems with the seats and if I were to go again, I would not pay to upgrade. Just my opinion though.
