We were just there in June. The performers mingled with the crowd. We saw 2 performers walking past our table, one stopped and started talking to my niece. Then, she just leaned up against the pole at the end of our table until she had to get back on stage.
They have the audience wave their napkins around their head singing "Hoop Dee Doo...." repeat.
There are a lot of corny jokes and songs and the kids do really enjoy it. I thinks it's really corny and basically, I'm there for the "free" wine and fried chicken. My kids both fell asleep at the Luau, although the fire thrower is AWESOME. But, you have to wait nearly 2 hours to see him. The story that goes along with the Luau is just stupid and boring, IMO. Show me the dances and the flame thrower and call it a show. I think the Luau would be 100% better if they eliminated the silly story with the aunt and nephew.
