I am trying to plan my meals for my trip in May. I have heard mixed reviews about the Hoop-Dee-Do review. I have a 5 and 3 year old. Anybody have any thoughts about it?

Depends on how well your kids will sit through it. It is very entertaining and fun for all ages. (You have to like corny jokes).

Our daughter first went when she was just under 3 and she loved it (plus she was free). She is a music lover and just enjoyed the excitement that the stage performancers gave. She also loved that they came to our table and sang. She went back when she was almost 4 and really this time enjoyed the food and was singing and clapping along with the show. We were not planning on it this trip (she is almost 5), but she remember it and asked if we could go again to the show.

It is really a well run show and operation, but if you children can not sit for 2 hours at a table with the show going on then you might think of something else.

Our youngest at the time, just turned 5, LOVED LOVED LOVED it!! He even took his napkin as a souveniour, we kept trying to get him to leave it on the table and the waiter came over and said that's ok just let him take it.haha

I agree, it depends on how well your dc will sit thru it. We went on our last trip w/our 3-1/2yr old and ended up leaving about 15-20mins before it ended. It's a pretty loud show and the lights were dimmed at that time, so we weren't creating a spectacle by leaving before it was over. I was disappointed though because we missed the Strawberry Shortcake. I love Strawberry Shortcake, lol.

Both our DD's (6 & 2) LOVED it. The loved the food, which wasn't bad. It was actually our DD6 favorite meal and they both had a great time playing the washboard at the end. The shortcake was a letdown, syrupy strawberries not fresh.
