As I previously posted on the "why we never ate here" thread...we have never gone to the Hoop.

BUT...to all those who have....is it worth the +/- $50 per person ???

Thanks

Yes, Yes!
The food is fine, nothing great but ok, you will love the show.
We took my DD last time and she love it!! She was 4 1/2
and I was afraid most of the jokes would go over her head
(and many did) but she still remembers it and would love
to go again. It is expensive but if you have kids, its great
family entertainment. Reserve now, I reserved way in advance
and got a great table right near the stage, you can always
cancel if you change your mind. We went two weeks after 9/11
the parks and the resorts were empty but Hoop de doo was
packed!

We have been twice to the Hoop Dee Doo. We really enjoyed the show and the food was good. It is a little overpriced but you are getting a "show" too besides all you can eat. The cast interacts a lot with the audience and you will have a great time. Definitely reserve now instead of later - it does tend to fill up quick. Hope you have a good time :D

Absolutely! IMO, its a bargain.
If you were to go out and eat, ordering that much food, and that much soda & beer(all unlimited), the meal alone would cost you the price you are paying, nevermind the show, which is absolutely hysterical. While the food isnt gourmet, its great for what it is. The fried chicken is the best Ive ever had. The ribs were a little tough, but very tasty. All the sides were very good too.
We have done HDDR in 2000, and 2002, and I wouldnt hesitate to do it again.

We've been there there four times, so I guess it's worth it :)

Go, go, go!!! Reserve now for best seating. This is my DS6's best memory of our trip last week. My DD3 got alittle crush on the handsome male lead, she was stary eyed when he sang to his girl, lol!

YEP!

It's a great time for everyone. We don't do it every trip because of the cost but it's one eveyone must see at least once. We thought the food was good and the show was great.

Oh yes! The food is pretty good, the entertainment is very good and the atmosphere makes it a fun evening. My daughter who was 5 years old at the time really enjoyed herself at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue!!!

Don't miss it!

Hi guys,

My family loved this when I was a kid, but I haven't been since then. I made reservations for my upcoming trip, and I'm really excited.

Let me ask you about the food. Does the corn have peppers in it (read that somewhere)? Do the baked beans have meat in them?

The reason I ask is that my boyfriend is allergic to peppers and I don't eat beef or pork.

Thanks!

We were just there this past Tuesday night and had a great time.We took the launch from MK and back for E night and went to the 5 pm supper. The corn was very tasty and I believe it was celery in it and I did not notice any meat in the beans.
I would strongly recommend takeing the launch from MK. It is very relaxing and just so much more pleasant than taking the bus.

When we were there last year there was "something green" in the corn that I thought was green peppers. It could have been celery but I would check to find out. Some baked beans also have green peppers in them so you might want to ask about this too. Don't remember any meat in the beans. I think the ribs are pork but you will still have the chicken.Great food.

Yes, there were peppers in the corn. Call ahead (2-4 days or so)and speak directly to the chef who will be able to accomodate any dietary needs you ahve with either the same food less certain ingrediants, or a reasonable alternative.

I agree with everyone on this thread...the HDDR is so AWESOME!!! We thinks the vittles er downright tastey (said in my best cowboy twang)!! We've been 3 times...this year we're trying the luau for something different...but plan on doing the HDDR again.

Another YES vote! We loved HDDR! Right now, we're trying to decide whether to go back on our next trip, since we know we'll love it, or whether we want to try something new, like the Poly Luau. Anyone have any thoughts on this decision?

YES!!! This is a great dinner show. It's alot of fun with corny jokes, audience participation and singing. We really enjoy the food and drinks too. If you can fit it in, I would suggest you go. :D
