I see they list the show as lasting 2 hours, if i leave a little early will i be missing out on the food? Do they wait till the very end to serve dessert?

If you leave early you will be missing out on a lot of the fun. Yes dessert is served last and late in the time period

They wait pretty much until the end for the dessert and the washboards. I would not leave early if I didn't have to, as this dinner show is fun from start to finish.

As everyone else has said, the dessert comes late and the show continues until the end. Wouldn't recommend leaving unless you really needed to. If you are worried about missing park time, book the 8:30 show (if your group can eat later) on a night when the parks close at 9:00

Yes, Im worried about missing park time and it's on our arrival day. Our flight gets in at 10:30am. I know we will be tired, but everyone is determined to go straight to Epcot. I'm thinking of booking the 6:00pm. So we can have at least 5 hours of park time, since we have to leave Epcot at 5:00pm to get there by 6:15pm. Not sure if 5 hours is enough time, and dont really want to stay out till 10:30pm

I would definitely stay until the show ends if you're doing HDDR.

Maybe pick a restaurant at Epcot like Biergarten or Garden Grill for some entertainment along with dinner & not having to leave the park? I've always had great character interactions at GG & good food as well for dinner.

In my personal experience, I booked HDDR on our MK day for the earliest show at 4:15 I believe, which worked out very well for us. It provided a nice break from the park & we had more than enough time to head back to MK afterward & finish off the night there.

Are you staying at Fort Wilderness? Because Hoop de Doo is a bit of a pain to get to if you're not. If not staying at Fort Wilderness, I'd book it on an MK day. The boat is quicker and the dock is close to Pioneer Hall. I'd book an earlier show and go back to MK for nighttime fun.

to sumismommy hw do you plan to get to Hoop Dee Doo? if you are driving or taking bus from EPCOT either way you will need to take the internal bus to other end of campground or walk about a mile to get there. as someone else said it is a lot easier to get there from MK as the boat is close to there. I would allow at least 2 hours from EPCOT if using buses and about the same back to EPCOT

Hddr on arrival day is never a good idea for us. Too many variables that could make it bad from flight days, tiredness and such. Why spend so much money when just going to duck out?

from MK I would allow an hour from the boat dock as it is about a 20 minute ride. this allows for just missing the boat. it is a short walk to Hoop Dee Doo from the boat dock. if you have young kids in your group there used to be a playground near there to run in before going in to sit if you have extra time
