I think they will like it. My first experience at HDD was when I was 5..it is the only thing I remember from that trip (which was in 1980)... Since then my family has gone at least once a year every year. Now that I am married hubby and I try and go at least once a year. It is a fun show, the food is really good and no matter how many times I have seen it through my childhood, teen years and into adulthood, I never get bored with it...

Take them anyway. Even if they sit with a "puss on their face" (as my mom used to call it) they will still remember the experience. Yup, hokey as anything, and if anything will make them say "awww, MOM..." this is probably it. Besides, wouldn't it be a hoot to get those "above it all" teens and tweens to pick up a washboard, start playing it with a spoon, and snap a picture to hold over their heads for the rest of their lives???(Yup, I'm that kind of mom)

We went last Christmas Eve when my DS was 14 & DD was 10. I thought my son would think he was too cool to enjoy the show, but he laughed and clapped along the whole way through. That's the most I've seen him laugh all year. Take the kids (and definitely take the washboard picture) and have a blast.

My 12-year-old granddaughter laughed so hard that I thought she'd lose her breath. She appreciated it the most, even though all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. (My son-in-law was singled out by the redhead, and his 4-year-old immediately climbed into his lap to "protect" her daddy).

My 12-year-old laughed as much as I did. My 18-year-old wasn't quite as laugh-out-loud but said that he definitely wants to go again the next trip to Disney. :)

My daughter was 4 when she first saw HDDR. She loved it then and she has loved it every time since, the last time being last year when she was 16. We are going again next May. She is 18 and looking forward to seeing it again. She isn't much for participating, but she does enjoy watching it.

I would agree with all the previous replies. Our kids love the HDD. We'll be going for the 8th time in June and they never get tired of it. We also always buy the picture they take of the family prior to the show. It's kind of neat to watch the kids grow up through the same photo each time.
