Checking in again to see if there have been updates. Sadly, it was still closed for our trip last August, and I am hoping - perhaps futilely - that it will be open when we return in 2022. I've been looking for info on both this and the Spirit of Aloha, but have not found any information other than rumor and hearsay - but I have to continue to hope as both are still listed on the Disney website as 'temporarily closed' - surely if they didn't plan on someday bringing them back they would remove them from the website?

I have seen that rumored too - but, it is still listed on the website as "temporarily closed" so I remain hopeful it, or a different version of it, may return at some point.

Are all the trams back? I thought it was MK and the rest to come later? That would be good news if they are all back.

I feel this so hard. Hoop Dee Doo is our number one dining priority and a tradition for my family! Obviously if it's not back by our trip this spring, it's not like we wouldn't find something else great to do, but I sure would miss it.

We had Hoop Dee Doo scheduled as our celebratory last meal for our canceled May 2020 trip...it's the only thing left that I can't replicate for our do-over trip this coming May. Fingers crossed it comes back soon...

I am hopeful that it will return in time for our trip in May. We have done it so many times but it is such a beloved show. Food is good comfort food also. Please come back soon.

Man I didnt realize it was not running (should have thought that through) going in April, would have loved to go back again. Ive seen it 3 times, and always a great show, and good food. Sad if this never makes a come back.

Mine too. It's was my tradition pre-pandemic to go as the last meal on our trips.

I can't imagine they would not bring it back. Until the pandemic, it was the longest continuously running musical stage show in history. I do not understand why it's not back yet. There were rumor's last May it was coming back. I get there would have had to be some changes. Maybe they felt the show was not worth it without audience participation. But if the servers can go among the audience (they they do in restaurants) I would have expected the performers could have as well - just not touch them like they used to. Surely they could have come up with some way by now to bring it back safely. Maybe they felt they can't do it with face masks on?

anything that involves a lot of singing indoors is risky... especially for the performers

I'm thinking the recent struggles with Festival of the Lion King singers out sick and canceling shows probably doesn't bode well for an opening soon. ☹
