Hullo!

My fiancé and I will be honeymooning in disney world as it's our favorite place in all the lands (and he can say that as he's been to every continent except antarctica! :rotfl: )!

we'll be staying at the disney wilderness lodge and be there from September 16 - 23rd! we've never stayed at WL (:hyper: ) and it's the first time we've splurged on a deluxe resort. we've been multiple other times but want to make this time a little special and do some extra things.

for dinner reservations we've decide to try different restaurants (but have kept a couple of our favorites) we'll be eating at:
Teppan Edo
Sanaa
Be Our Guest
Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare
(this is more for me because I always need to have a princess meal but we've done the castle x2 and Akershus)

we still need two nights worth of dining - i'm a vegetarian (he's not) but i can normally find anything to eat anywhere. any suggestions would be helpful!

also, we were thinking of either doing a keys to the kingdom tour or the wild africa trek - any suggestions?

any other suggestions on cute, romantic, different things to try, do, or participate in - i'm open to it all.
Thank you!

Hi Meggiemouse!

My fiancé and I are actually leaving our honeymoon at WDW the day before you get there (we're honeymooning Sept. 9-15th). We splurged on a Deluxe resort too and are staying at the Poly! Great minds...

As for dining suggestions, we LOVE San Angel Inn Restaurante in the pyramid in Mexico (Epcot). Its so romantic there! I'm sure you could find something vegetarian there! Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater in Hollywood Studios is also fun. Last time I was there (a couple years ago) they had a delicious pasta (no meat) dish. And my fiancé loved that restaurant so much we're going back on our honeymoon!

Hope that helps!! :)

Hey there! I don't have any dining suggestions, but...

Hullo!

I've only heard awesome things about both experiences, but if you're only doing one or the other, it really depends on what you're looking for. I think the Trek could be more romantic, plus I believe you get a disc of photos, which is a great bonus on your honeymoon, and it's definitely a unique experience. Keys to the Kingdom would be awesome if you're both big Disney fans, but I'm not sure it would be as exciting, and much of the information they give out can be found online. Hopefully this helps your decision somewhat! Good luck with your planning :goodvibes

What about a private dinner by Disney catering somewhere, like at the grand Floridian where they have rooms for private dining and then you could see part of wishes? You could then see if they could make you a Star Wars themed cake. Not sure how much that would cost though.

i think this is meant to go to someone else … :rotfl2: as neither of us like star wars and i think i saw someone asking about a star wars cake previously!

Lurkyloo has an amazing (and SUPER helpful) DFTW podcast and that she covered honeymoons at DW that go beyond the parks on a while back.

definitely checking this out - thank you for the info!!

i think we're leaning towards the trek for the exact reasons you listed! plus, i heard they give away some secrets at the keys to the kingdom and that would break my heart!

aw! we wanted to stay at the poly but they didn't have the room we wanted for the time (we would have had to have done a split stay and that's far too much work for me!) but we're more than happy to be at the WL since we both love rustic outdoors so we're still more than excited

i love the san angel inn as well! especially sitting right on the water - it was between the san angel inn and teppan edo that we chose from. neither of us have been to teppan edo so that's why we chose it! we've been to sci-fi too (twice for him, four times for me!) but he's not into spending a table credit on it this time ( :guilty: ) - we're thinking maybe beaches 'n' cream at the beach club? kind of the same idea - retro/burgers but it's a place we haven't gone yet.

i hope you have an amazing honeymoon! thank you for your suggestions!!
