Hey everyone! I need some opinions. We're trying to figure out where we should eat during our honeymoon. We thought about doing the Dining Plan, but our rooms are booked with our wedding discount, so by the time we bought the 1 day MYW tickets that we'd need to qualify for the DP it would be a little expensive. The DP for us for 9 nights, plus the 2 1 day MYW tix would be about $980. I seriously don't think we'll spend that on food. DF usually goes to the food court for breakfast and I usually just eat fruit or toast. Then we usually do 1 CS and maybe one 1 TS (if not 2 CS.) Then we usually do a snack or 2.

Anyway, we need some opinions...

We know we want to do CRT for dinner one night (especially after seeing the CUTE honeymoon glasses they give you!) and we want to do Le Cellier (DF's FAVORITE!) What else??

Remember, we are not foofy, we don't like complex foods, just your basics :) :)

Thanks

we loved the GF cafe, and althrough foofy, narcossees was SSSSSOOOOOOO good! and for non-foofy, we liked sci fi and 50's 1900 park fare and we ate a lot of counter service that was good, like pecos bill, gasparillas, and pizzafari. hope that helps some.

This may be a little foofy, but DF and I LOVE Artist Pointe at WL. It's sooooo romantic and sooooo yummy! They have the best apple salad, mac & cheese, and berry cobbler, see I'm not really foofy either :rotfl: Another must for us is 'Ohana, but I think you said you're having your RD there. We also like Rose and Crown at England in WS and DF's favorite is Big River Grille and Brewery at the Boardwalk b/c it's a micro-brewery and he can get a beer sampler.

Good luck :) I had such a hard time picking my disneymoon ADRs too!

For good food and a knee slappin good time-- go to Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL--- its so much fun, and make sure they know its your honeymoon!! It will be one of your favorites, i promise! (by the way-- the skillet is by far the best thing on the menu!).

I second that - the skillet is defiantely the best! Yummmm....

I vote for the Yachtsmen's Steakhouse for a nice dinner for the two of you one night and the Sci Fi Drive In for a fun one.

We went to CRT (didn't get the glasses), the Luau at the Poly, the microbrewery at the Boardwalk (can't remember the name) with friends, and the Coral Reef.

If you like Italian food, you can try Alfredo's at Epcot. It's not very fancy, and the food is good!

OK, we made 2 more ADRs today, so we have a total of 3 so far.

July 12 5:25 at Ohana for our 2 immediate families

July 15 at 6:30 at CRT

July 17 at 6:20 at Le Cellier

Still working on more :) We tried to pick EMH nights so we could eat and then spend the evening at that park. Thanks for all of the selections. We're looking through all the menus on All Ears. We LOVE seafood, so some of the seafoody choices look great!!!!

If you want a good time and some great southern food, go to the Hoop-de-Doo Review at Fort Wilderness. It is soooooooooooo worth it. We also highly recommend Boma's at the AKL. The food there is FANTASTIC!!! It's a buffet and the price is right. Since you guys can't do the dining plan, I definitely recommend getting the Disney Dining Experience card. For annual pass holders it's only $60. :thumbsup2 Just on one meal (we paid for my family too) it saved us almost $60, so it pays for itself quickly and it covers everything - alcohol, desserts, etc. You will save a bunch!! We ate at CRT our last night in Disney with our daughter (12/26) and we got the glasses. The prime rib was so good and the raspberry sorbet was the greatest!!! Have a great time!!! Good luck planning all your ADR's.

My dh loved the luaua at the Poly. We were on the dining plan. The table service meals we had were at the following restaurants: Spoodles, Concourse Steak House, Artist Point, Boma, and Planet Hollywood. We also did the Hoop Dee Doo dinner show. The food and atmospehre at Artist Point was handsdown, our favorite, but the entertainment at the luau couldn't be beat.

I really wish we had gotten the Disney Dining Experience card earlier. It costs $60 for AP holders, and saves you 20% on almost every Disney restaurant. Basically if you are going to spend more than $300 on Disney restaurants in a YEAR (and some of us spend that in one meal!), it's worth it. But you have to PLAN AHEAD. You can't buy it in person, you have to order it online or over the phone and have it mailed, and it will take at least 2 weeks to receive. You can pick it up in person by waiting on a long line at the Guest Relations window outside Epcot. But do it soon... we could have used it much earlier in our trip, but I guess better late than never!

Thank you for posting this!!!! :worship: :worship:

I totally wasn't thinking when I booked earlier. We have the DDE (got it already since we were going to be there last weekend.) When you book CRT you pay in full and I wasn't even thinking about that having to get taken off right now (I'm used to showing the card when we get there.) I just called and had them fix it all and we saved $13. Thanks!! We already saved $16 at Chef Mickey's and a few smaller things so we are well on our way to making back our $60 and then we really start to save :) Thanks again!
