I have heard that this is place is nice, but what I really want to know is the truth on the taste and quality, I am not worried about the price the choices are etc. Just the taste and seasoning and quality, First time 2 WDW:lovestruc

This was one of the best meals of our trip last year. We all enjoyed it.

. . . truth on the taste and quality . . .

1) Pretty much like most WDW eateries since the advent of DDP
. . . food quantity - very good
. . . food uniqueness - average
. . . food quality - good
2) Since DDP,
. . . menu items have become somewhat standardized
. . . uniqueness has declined substantially
. . . quantity has usually increased

NOTE: The public wants to "graze" and "pig-out". Most people do not look for high quality, just quantity. Thus, the DDP has become a big success. To keep within the reimbursement of DDP, the eateries have cheapened the food.

If you are looking for fish dishes, I would consider Coral Reef to just be average. The fish choices at Flying Fish are far far superior to here in taste and presentation.

I have found the food at Coral Reef to be overseasoned, the sauces overpower the dishes. I have had the blackened catfish, the tilapia and the mahi mahi here. It's not terrible but it's not the best at WDW either.
