honestly, Sonya, you're an inspiration to me. i'd be a whining baby if i had to put up with half of what you've done. i got a ton of stitches once, i was bedridden for two weeks. (87 stitches)

WOW! I REALLY cannot believe that this thread had to be made.

It makes me SICK to my stomach that some people think Sonya is using her CANCER as a way to get sympathy or "extra attention".
It's not like she broke her foot and is demanding that people wait on her hand and foot.

She has a horrible disease that is putting her through physical and mental anguish. She's only 14 years old, and she'd going through something that some grown adults couldn't deal with, and she's fighting through it like a champion.

Sonya, you are an inspiration in my eyes, and DON'T let anyone get you frusterated.

The majority of us WANT updates on her condition and her surgeries and her treatment, we care about who she's doing. And I can't believe anyone would complain.

It's NOT the same thing and all the HSM threads, she is UPDATING us on her HEALTH. Letting us know she's made it through another day.

I cannot even express how angry I am that anyone would be angry with Sonya or bash her at all. I can't believe it's come to this.

Have some empathy, put yourself in her shoes.

Most of you, have never had to go through chemotherapy. I haven't, I haven't had to deal with a moment of pain in my life. The way Sonya describes it, it sounds like hell. She's going through a horrible rough time. She's 14, isn't going to be able to walk after this surgery. Can you imagine? Her best friend, didn't even want to schedule time with her before it.
How would you feel?
The TB, is always a place for venting about your problems. If I had cancer, I'd probably post ten times as many as her.

I'm one of those people, who everytime they see a thread that she's written about it, they click it and read it because I care if how it's going. I'm not clicking because it's a thread. It's not annoying. It's a persons life, it's what she's had to deal with for the last forever.

All night I've been close to swearing my head off, saying some things that would get me banned.
Don't you ever, ever compare her cancer to something as frivellous as a stupid scandal that means nothing, or a book. It's her life.

I've heard this from more than one person.
Apparently,people think I use my disease as a defence,an excuse,so that people will suck up to me.
I will not name names.
But the way the people have said it,honestly makes me feel like sh!t.
I am not trying to be a bully,or have people suck up to me.
I would just appreciate genuine well wishes and prayers.

But I just want to know if this is how everyone feels?
Because if it is,I'll just take a break from the DIS,and talk to someone else about my feelings.
It may seem like all I ever post about is my disease,but I doubt anyone else wouldn't do that if it was the only thing on your mind.

I do not agree with some things you say. Some comments seem mean to others and I feel you think you can do that because if someone gets mad at you you can use the defense you have a disease or something. If I got to know you more I feel we could be good friends

Remember when everyone was getting annoyed about how there were like five Harry Potter or Vanessa Hudgens threads floating around on page one and pretty much everyone who wasn't involved in these threads was complaining about them?
Isn't it the same with the whole cancer thing?
Except, of course, that cancer is much more serious than the other stuff.
There are times when I come on the TB and I see a millionbajilliontrillion (exaggeration) cancer threads and I just want to click on the title and SCREAM.
So, maybe you could confine the updates into one thread?
It's not that we don't care, it's just that it does get a bit annoying when there's more than one thread on the same subject.

The amount of multiple cancer threads is kinda getting annoying. Sure people want updates. But I think you could make one thread for it. Like the HOF for example. Shelby's not making a new thread everytime she updates it. She keeps the same thread. So I think that would be better for all of us....... I havent been on that much but when I am the cancer threads are kinda annoying......

BUT....I totally support you. I havent experienced it personally but I know its hard to get through. I think you're awesome! You are going through an awful time and you are a fighter. You arent giving up and you have the courage most people wouldnt to get through it.

And have you noticed that at the start of her threads she would say, "sorry to make another thread about this...." and then you guys would say, "its no big deal! I think its crap that they did too! And I kinda have to agree with them. I mean yeah I totally support her but there are gonna be some people who dont. What can you do about them? Nothing. I am not trying to be rude or anything, but here it goes... Sonya has been through a lot lately. But do you know what a lot is? How about getting medicine inserted into that hurts so bad you want to die? How about going to the doctor and not knowing what will come out of it? How about knowing if you are going to LIVE one more day or it might be your last? Now that you know that welcome to Sonya's life. Whether you care or not, this is a REAL FREAKING DISEASE KILLING MILLIONS. Guess what? My brother had cancer. He is living today. And Guess what again? Talking about it to others got him through it. Do you know how it makes me feel when others get on here and are telling someone who is living their life with a killer disease that her threads are getting annoying?!? Well it makes me feel like there is no hope in the world. Would you all like to just forget about cancer and let everyone die? Her posts may be helping someone else going through cancer to be strong. Heck, they are helping me be strong everyday of my life, cancer or not.
Sonya, be strong. Keep posting. Don't let us down. I need you to do this for me.
