If you were visiting a site on the ancient "Ancestral Puebloan / Anasazi" indians of the American Southwest, where would you expect to find information on their pottery: under the link Artwork, or Artifacts?

Since it is a site about these people, I would say that it is their artwork.

Whenever I see something on tv, the pottery is usually called artifacts.

As a guess I would say artifacts. Although pottery can be art, it likely served a very practical purpose for the Anasazi. Unless you think they considered it a work of art?

That's the problem, TB -- it was both. The pottery itself was very functional, but they painted it and decorated it in artistic designs that were purely art.
