weve booked into the homewood suites idrive,(convention center) has anyone else stayed there and is it a good hotel?

thanks:)

i haven't stayed at that one but i've stayed at other homewood suites. they are very roomy and nice but the decor is a bit spartan. but having a bedroom door is definitely a plus with a toddler so we can stay up after she goes to bed without being stuck in the bathroom for an hour.

Stayed there for a week 2 yrs ago,It was a nice place to stay and very quite! The rooms were clean ,the breakfeast was good, and you could walk to lots of nearby restraunts.

We stayed there in November 06 and thought it was absolutely fantastic. The suite was a good size and spotlessly clean. There was a kitchen with fridge, freezer, cooking rings, coffee maker and dishwasher. The free internet access in the room was a great bonus.

We thought the free breakfast was incredible; plenty for the kids to eat and my son enjoyed making waffles!!! The free evening meal Mon-Thurs was perfectly adequate for the evenings we were just too tired to do anything else (due to killer jet lag).

The pool was shaded for most of the day, which actually didn't bother us, but could be a drawback for some people. I liked that the children could swim without being in the full sunlight. The hot tub was lovely!!!

We had a car so never used the shuttle buses. It took between 20-30 minuted to drive to the Disney parks and 15-20 to Universal.

Basically we loved this hotel and wouldn't stay anywhere else in future. If you want to know anything else, just ask :)
