Homewood Suites vs. Hawthorne Suites--opinions??

Hi all,

We are planning to stay at either the Homewood Suites or Hawthorne Suites (Lake Buena Vista--both on Palm Parkway) for our upcoming trip in March. We've stayed at both before a few years ago and found them both very nice. But I'd love feedback from anyone who's stayed at either property in the last year or so, particularly regarding what's typically available on the breakfast buffet and at the manager's reception. Details of any other positive or negative aspects of your stay there would also be appreciated!

We stayed at the Hawthorne Suites one night in October before a week at Cypresse Pointe, and we LOVED it.

It's brand new, immaculately clean, well appointed, and comfortable. I am the world's biggest hotel snob, and I could have spent the week there, it was so nice. The breakfast was fine, but if we had been there longer, I'd have gotten my own food bc I think it would have been boring after a while. We did not use the pool or any of the other services bc we were there barely 12 hours.

I've stayed at quite a few Homewoods, although not the one in question, and I've never had a bad stay. The one thing here though is that I think the Homewood is right along side I4, whereas the Hawthorne is across the street.

The Hawthorn Suites are close to the t/s we own - watched them as they were being built a few years back. We will be stayingthere in a few months- the lobby is beautiful but, as yet, we have not seen the rooms. Please let us know if you stay there in March and if you enjoy the stay.
