Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn?

Hampton Inn! They're the most reliable and have the best breakfast options.

Homewood all the way. We once stayed at the Homewood for 6 weeks when my husband was traveling for work. It felt like a home away from home.

Homewood. I have stayed at several locations and have never been disappointed.

Another Homewood Suites vote/fan here...
We've stayed in quite a few and love them. They are all different, but once we stayed in a BRAND new one (just opened that week) in California, and it was one of the NICEST hotels I've ever stayed in including any 5 star we've ever been to.

Depends upon what you need. If you need a full kitchen, with dishes, cooking utensils, full refrigerator, stove, etc. then choose Homewood Suites. That will also afford you two separate rooms.

If you only need a microwave and refrigerator, with no utensils provided, then choose Hampton Inn, the suites often have two separate rooms, but sometimes are only studio set ups. Check if you need to have two separate rooms.

If you simply need a decent, clean place to sleep, then Holiday Inn is quite serviceable. I use it for overnight stays when on road trips...

Homewood Suites, hands down. When I traveled on business I would spend a minimum of a week a month at either a Homewood Suites or Hilton Suites - LOVED them both.

I vote Homewood Suites!

Homewood Suites rock! We took a trip (pre-Kids) with 2 other couples a few years back, and we stayed at a Homewood. We only paid for 1 Suite, and everyone fit in the room, without any crowding. We cooked meals in-suite, and felt it really saved us a lot of money in the long run!

It depends.

Do you just plan to get a single, regular hotel room? If so, then which of these I'd choose would be based on Tripadvisor's reviews/rating.

If you want some separation space, go Homewood Suites...for sure. I travel to my sister's home several states away a few times a year. We bring my 4 yo son. My uncle and I want privacy, and I need a place to put the kiddo to bed and not have to sit in a dark hotel room. Their 2 BR is perfect for us, and less than the cost of 2 separate hotel rooms! :goodvibes Their breakfast is great, too.

I would check the Trip Advisor reviews for your specific destination. Quality varies.

Example: I was looking for a place to stay on a college visit trip with my son. I first checked out the reviews for my favorite chain. The reviews for that particular location said that the hotel is staffed almost entirely by college students who have an "I don't care attitude." I still like the chain, but avoided that particular location.

I agree that it depends on your needs. If it is just a short, one or two night stay, then I have found Holiday Inns are fine. Especially if they participate in the kids eat free program.

Also, hotel quality can change at each location. I stayed at one Hampton Inn that was a dump. Also stayed at one Holiday Inn that was a dump. Now I know to read the reviews on the trip advisor website.:)

I've stayed at all three MANY times and also prefer Homewood. I'd do a search of the particular ones you're deciding on in the area you're going to on tripadvisor.com

Ooops, I'm sorry I just noticed you already mentioned this!! GMTA ;)

I love tripadvisor! I count on their reviews before booking anywhere~:thumbsup2

If you can get one of the remodeled HI Express's, I'd say that one. We've stayed in a few that were unbelievably nice.
