First of all...did everyone see Grey's Anatomy last night!!!!!!!

DH and I watched the first hour
ending at 11, since we had to watch on DVR since he was watching hockey, we will finish it tonight!

3 more school closings in NY-2 in Queens and 1 in Brooklyn.
All 6 schools that have closed, yesterday and today, will be closed for the entire week, next week.

Wow, I need to read up on the NY H1N1 happenings...nothing in our local news about it!


Casino Queen, great haircut! (you know I would like to see the back, but you did an admirable job photographing yourself!) I am leaning toward shoulder length for myself, what do you think Judi? I know you are a butt lenght woman, yourself!

Today's reading festival was awesome!
We didn't win a trophy
but lots of individual prizes
and the kids had a great time!




Our busdriver came from hell
we were not even out onto the main road
when she pulled the bus over
got up in the aisle and screamed
"there will be no standing, no throwing things, and you will be quiet"
"I don't get paid by the hour, I will pull this bus over, as you can tell"

me and the other teacher were like
we had been in the bus three seconds
the kids had NOTHING with them (to throw)
and our kids are GOOD!

there were some issues about the busses
before we even went
and I swear the manager sent her worst drivers

The other teacher said NO WAY am I going home with that driver
but she needn't have worried
we got a man onthe way home
a man with a pierced lip
a pierced tongue
and a big scrape, welt, on his cheek and eye (recent fight?)

DH learned that our homeowners is not taking the dog bite claim
it is not like auto insurance, I guess
the dog was not on OUR property when it bit
and DD10 is not a listed "owner" of the homeowners policy

DH thought our homeowners would charge their homeowners insurance,
now we must bill them (the neighbors) ourselves

DH no longer even wants to SPEAK to the neighbors
who, by the way, have not even called to check on DD10

when I got home from school

Last time DS was "out", I was freezing, and went up to my room
cuddled under the covers, and was reading my book.
He came in, came up
said, "I can't believe you didn't wait up for me!"

I was like:
"I am awake, the light is on, I am waiting up for you!"

he said,
"Yeah, but you aren't downstairs waiting."


awake is waiting up, in my book!
