Is anyone homeschooled? I was just wondering how long have you been homeschooling. I'm going on 3 years now. I like it more than public school. Please tell me what kind of curriculm you are using. I'm using textbooks.

I wish I was home schooled, but my parenst run there own business so they are always working. I love public school just fine though. =]

I go to public school and it's fine, but my parents also work so they can't homeschool me.

I have been homeschooled since I was adopted at the age of 8(3rd grade). I primarily use a text book curriculum with alot of field trips for History and some media for Science experiments.

I love it, it gives me so much freedom and I can work at my own pace. Plus I get to do Gymnastics for my P.E.

Do you know how incredibly lazy I would be if I was homeschooled?!
I would get nothing done...that's why I go to public school. It's not like I'm motivated there either xD

I would also be incredibly lazy too. Plus, my mom and I would be down each others throats everyday. Public school was best for me.

Homeschooling gives me alot of discipline. I am given alot of freedom with homeschooling to work at my own pace, but you can't take advantage of it. My Marmee would not allow it anyway. It is kind of give and take and she had develop that trust with me that I wouldn't goof off all day.
I can choose to bust my butt and work from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or so and get all my work done or I can choose to goof off all day and be working till 11:00 p.m. at night on work. It is up to me and either way the work for the day will be done. I choose the first.

I was homeschooled for 4th grade. I LOVED it! It was much less stressful than public school.

I wish I could be homeschooled again, but my mom says no. But hey, my school only has about 150 kids so that's the best I'll get.

But... I'm an anti-social type of person, so I'm sure some people love public school.

I used to be homeschooled K-2

It was fun. I got to choose what time I do my work because my mom was my teacher.

Ive never been homeschooled... but ive gone to public, private and boarding out of all of those i liked boarding better but its because at that time me and my mum were both up each others throats... if it wasnt for that i probally would have not... i'm going to public currently but were trying to get me back into that boarding school... it really has to do w/ the way learn i just do best at boarding since me and my mum fight alot at times... i cant imagine what it would be like if i was home schooled but again its just not for me

i never been homeschooled.. but i guess it has its advantages.. go at your own pace.. no peer pressure or dealing with jerks or anything... but i could never imagine my life without public school lol.. i met the best people in the world at my school.. plus public school is just fun ... you can do really dumb things without gettign really strict punishments lol

I don't know anyone who is home schooled, it is pratically impossible to do in England as you need to have the council say its ok, and check on ur progress. Some of my friends were homeschooled if they were too ill, but they all had tuitors that the council hired for them. Everyone goes to school weather its right for them or not. I am glad i went to a state school, cause my parents couldn't have got me this far in my education alone. Plus all 7, 11 and 16 year olds in the UK have to do national exams, so you can't really work from home. Also you need A level grades to get into university (2 exams ages 17 and 18), which you definatly couldnt learn how to do without a qualified teacher. The are VERY hard, and it takes a real knack to learn how to answer the questions. So people who want to go into further education can not be home schooled.

I go to private school. It's safe, clean, and focuses on the four main subjects we need to focus on: Math, English, Social Studies, and Science. Electives "just for fun" won't get you anywhere.
