Homeless Dis'ers set sail *sound* on some posts

No way am I going on that bridge! Anyway...
We have a Relay for Life tonight that dh is doing. dd and I will stay until about 11pm and then go home since she's going to Purgatory Chasm tomorrow for a b-day party. Hope she doesn't break anything!! Then a wedding shower, at church no less. No great plans. Just waiting for the 13th to meet a lot of you in Boston.
Going back up on deck to try and get rid of this horrific cold I have. A little sun and vitamin C can't hurt. (the C can be found in my mimosa!!)

A wedding shower at church - seems a little strange. But then again, a free venue if you have a nice congregation room is a bonus plan in anyone's life.

Have a great weekend! I can't remember are you bringing your kids to Boston?

This afternoon the First Mate informed me that we would be traveling through the final locks, The Gatun Locks,

As we travel to Colon where we are scheduled to rendevous with our Captain, I think - unless his trip is longer than a week.

What a great tour, castlegazer. Ed will be very proud of you for standing in his stead. (I'm still not sure what he will think of ilovepcots' misdeeds.)

I'm definitely up for some more relaxing on deck today. It's been a very tiring week.

(And, IRL it's been a tiring week too. This will be our first free weekend in ages and I'm looking forward to vegging with my family and not having any social engagements. Hope everyone has a great one!)

Oh, I long for free weekends, last weekend was our last for a long while. :(

I had an OK week, was given a raise - yeah! - and had a great time filling in for Ed.

Suzannen, do you work outside of your home?

Yep, it's a nice, free good size room. Seems the brides mother, a very active member of church, has invited people to the shower that can't be invited to the wedding. Apologized profusely to them but said there just wasn't enough room available at the reception but they would love it if they (the not invited to wedding people) could come to the shower. So, it will most likely be a really good sized crowd.
Yes, my dd is coming to Boston with me. As is my dh. At least he says he's coming. Dd is 10 and looking forward to meeting some other Disney nuts!!!
Oh yes, Ed is going to be soooo very proud of his first mate. Nice tours and we're keeping the ship intact. Well, so far anyway. Any word on iloveepcot? Those jungles can be brutal.

That is a very nice thing to do if handled in the right way and not a blatant gift grab. I wish my friends who are having a destination wedding would do something similar for everyone who can't go to the wedding - but its a little different since we were invited to it.

Have a great time.

Yes, I work for a philanthropic foundation and this week I'm rushing to finish edits for a print deadline for our next annual report. I'm in charge of this project and it's finally coming to an end after six months. It goes to final print next Thursday so I can really celebrate next week's Memorial Day!

Congratulations! My office is near investor relations so I am caught up in the mele each and every year as we go to print with our annual report. It will make Memorial Day all that much more sweet for you - finally a long weekend and a break!

Then you know all about the headaches these things can cause. Without any unforeseen problems, the final product will be mailed out the last week of June right before my real vacation starts.

Ed's home!!!! Quick, start cleaning you guys. Make sure the ship is all spiffy for him. Hope he doesn't expect us to 'whistle' him aboard. Aha....maybe he's out buying thongs for the challenge.

Well you ladies had an interesting time while I was gone, sorry the crew didnt work out, and who painted the ship? Good work with the tours Castlegazer and to all you who filled in. I brought you each a little something from wdw

Thanks Ed...on behalf of all of us...I accept. That looks like something that will be coming home with me in August. Should be a nice b-day gift from dh, don't you 'tink'??

I told them you wouldn't like the boat painted...I did, I did. Glad to have you home. Hope your trip was really wonderful.

Welcome back, Ed - as you can see things got a little out of hand in your absence. Some of us TRIED to keep things shipshape; we really did. Oh well, maybe now our excursion can continue at a nice relaxing pace.

Should we dry dock for a few days and repaint the boat?

Loved the photos ed!!! Looks like a great trip. Can't wait to get there in August. Are you and the family going to Boston for the meet on 6/13??? Hope so. Now, back to some cruisin!!!

castlegazer attempts to wake up - she rises exhausted from the grueling job of navigating the Panama Canal

Ed- WELCOME BACK! :jumping1:
It looks like you all had a wonderful time - thank you for sharing your photos with us! Its nice to put a face with a name. Your boys are adorable. I agree - we stayed at PoP Century last trip since it was a quick trip and I didn't really care about where we stayed. I came quickly to the conclusion that I am a MK resort person too. I love FtW and the cabins but I hated the buses so next trip you will either find me there or at WL to avoid the dual bus trips everywhere you want to go. I work with someone who swears by POFQ so much so that I have been tempted to check it out but I think I will stick with what I know I love.

I have taken the liberty of doing one final task while still First Mate and have set up a calypso band on the forward decks around the pool. We are serving Bloody Mary's and Mimosa and lots and lots of coffee this morning. As the afternoon wears on we will see if the Mararita machine is back up and running yet.
:rockband:

Ed, great photos - thanks for sharing. Looks like you guys had a great time and great weather. Wish I was there. It probably will be next year before I get back there.

Meanwhile, everyone I heard we picked up a French chef for along with our new crew. Anyone want to try out his food with me for lunch?

OK ladies we are free in the Caribbean any prefrences?
The way i was thinking would be to travel up to the Caymens and Jamaica then down towards Aruba,Bonair Curacao ,over to Grenada then start heading up towards the other islands heading for FL.

I am right there with you for petite dejeuner today Suzannen! I love French food! I would like to have Tornadoes de Beouf wrapped around pate seared over an open flame with haricot vert in a burgandy sauce. Followed by a dessert of a cheese plate with a delectable white Rhone wine. Oh man, I think I just made my stomach growl.

Ed - we are docked in Colon to rendevous with you and some of our other more nortorious passengers. Last word on Ilovepcot was that she was somewhere near the border with Columbia. Have you heard anything? IRL did you get to meet up with her?

Edited to say, wherever you want to take us I am fine with. A little caribbean sun will be wonderful.

Can I just have a plain ole burger, cheese and some onions?? A nice merlot would be good tho. I just can't get into all that 'frenchified' food. A hunk of chedder, a bottle of merlot, maybe a nice peasant boule. Ahhhh. Nevermind...pass the Bloody Marys please.
