Homecomin' Grab and Go

My DH and I loved Homecoming (now Homecomin') on our last trip. We're heading back to WDW in December and have the free dining plan. We of course want to get back to Homecomin' but want to try more restaurants, especially some of the signatures, which would mean letting go of some of our old faves. One of those we could possibly still go to, without it being a table service credit, might be Homecomin'...

So my questions are these... Is the grab and go counter at Homecomin' eligible for counter service credit on the Disney Dining Plan? Also, are the items (for example, the chicken sandwich and BBQ chips) the same as what you would get in the restaurant, or are they of lesser quality?

The grad and go window does not accept the dining plan. Have had the chicken sandwich and it seemed the same.
