This is my first post on this board- hi everyone. I have been researching and wanted to get into a direct sale business like marykay, discovery toys... Anyone do any of these?or any other? Want more money for vacations to Orlando.

I did Discovery Toys for awhile. I learned that if you really want to make money, you have to recruit people to work under you. I had no desire to recruit. I'm not pushy enough. I also didn't like that other people were making money off of my sales. But, if that's for you, then good luck! You might want to consider a product that gets "used up" (ie Homemade Gourmet, Mary Kay), that way you get more repeat business.

Creative Memories (scrapbooking supplies). I do this mostly to support my own habit, but you can make a good deal of money if you want to work your business. It's a great way to meet people and make money at the same time.

Been there done that - it was fun but building clientele can be a bit hard at first. (no pun intended.....lol)
