Here's some news from MousePlanet.com:

The Home on the Range pre-parade is now running in the Magic Kingdom. The mini-parade steps off at 2 p.m. and includes two floats, riders on horseback, dancers, and character puppets. The character of Pearl (the owner of the Patch of Heaven farm in the movie) invites guests to join the square dance. The parade features the song “A Little Patch of Heaven” from the film, sung by k. d. lang.

Don't know if any of the characters will be doing meet-and-greets, but at least you can see them before the parade.

Thanks for the information, Meeko! New characters to see!! Whoohoo!! :) :) :)

Here's a link to some pictures of the pre-parade. Just heard that it will be running through April 16, so if you're going before then you might want to get an early spot for "Share A Dream Come True".

Thanks for the pictures! :)

Hey ..... I realized I seen that red barn float before! It's the same one that Mickey and Minnie ride in at the end of the Halloween parade! I guess Disney likes to re-use everything?

To bad I will miss the pre-parade!

Thanks for the info and pictures!!

That's the same barn float that's has been in the Easter and Halloween parades for years. The cows are cute but the cut outs of some of the other characters on it look so cheesey IMHO!!!!

Yep the red barn is indeed a highly-recycled float. I remember back when it (and the silo float that Pearl is on) were used in the All America Parade in the 1980s. The silo float is the one where the dacing scarecrows were on. The barn was also Dumbo's float for a time the the Character Hit Parade in the 1980s and also in the Christmas Parade for a couple years.

Does anyone know which direction this parade goes in?

It goes the same direction as "Share A Dream Come True" which I believe starts in Frontierland and then goes down Main Street at ends in Town Square.
