Hey all!
Just a quick check in and update.
Surgery wiped me out more than I thought.
(total abdominal hysterectomy - basically cut hip to hip ughhh)
I can't believe that I thought I'd be better in
a week or two. :sad2:
So basically, the surgery was a bit more extensive
than they thought, but no cancer :thumbsup2
I had to stay there for 5 days and thought
I was going to go stir crazy, so at least I'm home now.
I'm still having trouble just walking to the
kitchen, so it'll be a while before I'll be doing any
distance walking.
The good thing is that I have until March 5th
off from work and after next week I can start
driving again.

I'll check in more often when I'm up to it,
right now I just sleep a lot.
Thanks for all the kind wishes, prayers and thoughts :goodvibes

Good to hear from you! I'm glad to know you're home and on the mend. It's good that have the time to heal. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts. :grouphug:

Keep us posted!

Glad you're back home and everything went OK. I'll be sending you pixie dust for a speedy recovery! pixiedust:

Liz, Wishing you a speedy and uneventful recovery. You'll be back up to speed before you know it.

Welcome home! Sorry you are so wiped out, but yay on the lack of cancer!!! Take it easy and take care of yourself.

 I'm glad to hear everything went well and no C that is wonderful. You will find yourself getting better as each day progresses. You will also have quite a few days where your body will just tell you it's tired. Listen to that and do what you can. You are tough, but take it easy on yourself.

I have my 1st yr. anniversary from my procedure on the 13th. The year flew and I hope yours does too.

Liz!!!

Wishing you a speedy smooth recovery!!!! YAY on no C!!!

Take care!!!

Wow, Liz! I had completely missed this news -- though, honestly my time on the boards has been pretty limited since Goofy.

Glad to hear you are home, sooooo relieved that there's no cancer (how scary for you!), and wishing you a quick, uneventful recovery. Hang in there, girl! And keep us posted!

Glad to hear you are home from the hospital. Also glad that there was no cancer. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Liz,
that is great news. Just remember to rest. Oh yea, try not to cough! Anyone that has abdominal surgery knows what I am talking about :)

Hang in there,
Duane

Liz Glad to hear your surgery, while difficult, had a good outcome. Sending good WISH vibes your way for a full and speedy recovery.

Your going to feel so much better in the long run.

Good luck. Take it easy, baby steps, just like training.

YAY!!!! My sister is home from the hospital. I know you will have a lot of help and support from friends and family at home but I also know that you have all of our support as well. Keep us as informed about your progress as you can or just tell me and I will pass it on to the group.

Take care of yourself Sis!!:grouphug: pixiedust: :grouphug: pixiedust:

Glad to hear that you are home and resting comfortably!! Surgery like that can be tiring. Take care of yourself and you start feeling better slowly but surely!!
Best wishes to you!!

Liz, I'm glad to hear you are ok and so sorry that you had to go thru that. I hope you have a speedy recovery!

Becky

Hugs and more hugs, Liz!! :grouphug: Glad you are home. Be sure and take it easy. Even when you get to feeling a little stronger, don't over-do it, because you are still recovering. Glad there was no Ca.
Thanks for the update!!
Your 'brother' Bryan has been keeping us updated on the DDD board!

So glad to hear that your surgery went well and you are able to have plenty of time to recover at home.

Yahoo for no C. That's the best news you could have gotten!

Abdominal surgery is definitely no fun so, to your best to relax and take care!

Thanks everyone :grouphug:

Each day is a little easier
(except when I cough is right, ughhhh!)

I really appreciate the well wishes :goodvibes

Tiger Lily 03- I'm glad your year flew by, I'm hoping
mine will too. I'm nervous about signing up for the
1/2 next year. I'm not sure if there will be enough
time to heal, and train. Maybe I'll join the cheer squad
for next marathon weekend.

Thanks again WISHers for the support :goodvibes
