Does it bother anyone that this coupon was meant for a specific type/group of consumer & that by posting it on deal sites, sharing it with others, & selling on eBay, you are ruining it for everyone?
Companies are pulling back from releasing certains types of coupons, & stores are refusing to accept many printed/internet coupons because of this type of fraud.
Sure, I would've loved this coupon for a Christmas gift, but it wasn't meant for me. I hate to sound all high & mighty here, but this really bothers me.
Off my soapbox now......
Yep. What HD should have done was make the codes one time use, or make it so that you had to bring in the mailer. Hallmark went through this a couple of Christmases ago where they had a $5 off $25 that was supposed to be just for people who got the email, but it went viral, etc. Now, those coupons are barcoded for one time use and you have to present your rewards card that matches the acct. to which the coupon was sent. HD will learn this lesson too, the hard way.
